Arlington is an exciting, diverse area that is both an extension of DC and a city all its own. Located directly across the Potomac from the western edge of DC, the two are connected by an extensive metro system. Arlington offers a suburban feel to the urban vibe of many of DC’s neighborhoods. Home to local landmarks like Arlington National Cemetery, the Air Force Memorial, the 9/11 Memorial, and the Marine Corps Memorial. Arlington County has some of the best public schools in the country, making it a great place for long-term guests to stay with their families. In the south end of Arlington, you will find Crystal City, Pentagon City, and Shirlington among many more neighborhoods. These smaller neighborhoods each have their own personality. Crystal City is in the process of developing Amazon’s HQ2 and is the home of National Airport. Just a short metro ride away, you arrive at Pentagon City. This area hosts a large shopping center, restaurants, and public parks. With a diverse culture, you can find authentic food from all over the world. Nearby, you will find many of the top tourist destinations at the Cemetery and memorials. A quick trip down the highway brings you to Shirlington. It is a very residential area but still has everything you need. Local restaurants, grocery stores, dog parks, and shopping are all walkable. Crossing over Arlington Boulevard takes you to the north side of Arlington. Ballston mall, recently updated, sits a block away from the Ballston Metro. This area has a wide variety of restaurant and bar options, shops, and gyms. Following Wilson Boulevard takes you to the nightlife hotspot of Clarendon. Home to some local favorites, Trader Joe’s, more restaurants, shops, and fitness centers. This neighborhood, all the way into Courthouse, is perfect for the traveler that enjoys a great night out. Finally, in Rosslyn, you are at the edge of Arlington and Georgetown. Rosslyn is a collection of high rises with great views of DC, the Potomac River, and the surrounding area. Once again, this is a great area filled with delicious food, great parks, banks, grocery stores, and anything else you could need for a great urban living experience. Recurring cleanings are included every two weeks.
