About This Property
Welcome to the Alleyhouse. Since being built in 1917, the 554 sq ft Craftsman-style cottage has housed many miners and foremen that worked around the clock in the mines of Butte. One hundred years later, it has been renovated to be a comfortable place for you to call home. This historic home is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood conveniently located to MT Tech, St James Healthcare, restaurants and walking trails. While it sits behind the main house off Emmett Street, you will have your own private, separate entrance into the backyard and into your home. The front porch is very welcoming and spacious so that you can enjoy that morning cup of coffee solo or share the space with friends. Inside, all the rooms are filled with comfortable furnishings and the kitchen is equipped with a coffee maker, espresso maker, hot pot, toaster, waffle maker, and crock pot as well as plates, glasses, utensils and pots and pans. The home easily sleeps two in the double/full bed and there is even a twin sofa sleeper to accommodate an extra guest that may visit for one of the numerous festivals that Butte has to offer. The bathroom is spacious and has a full-size tub/shower combo and the in-house stacked washer and dryer make doing laundry a breeze. All this and utilities are included! You will feel safe and comfortable in the fully furnished Alleyhouse as you enjoy its quiet atmosphere and homey feeling.

Surrounded by national forests in western Montana, Butte is a charming town steeped in a rich history. First settled in the 1860s, Butte was a prosperous mining town, earning the nickname the “Richest Hill on Earth.” Butte’s historical roots are proudly on display throughout the town today, from the intricate Victorian architecture of Uptown Butte to the fascinating portrayals of the past at the World Museum of Mining.
Butte boasts a true small-town atmosphere with a strong sense of community fostered by an array of exciting events, including the Montana Folk Festival, Silver Bow County Fair, Butte-toberfest, Evel Knievel Days, and the An Ri Ra Montana Irish Festival. The community also bonds over outdoor adventure, with close proximity to many scenic parks, sprawling national forests, and the rugged Northern Rockies. Yellowstone National Park is also just a short drive away from Butte. Convenience to I-15 and I-90 makes getting around from Butte easy.
