You're the best! We really appreciate the positive review.
The building and the location is good. the maintenance staff is also on point and very prompt in resolving any submitted issues. However, since the last manager left, the management is an absolute disaster when it comes to communication. Your emails will not be answered for weeks even after multiple reminders. There isn't a full time manager and the ones covering currently do not seem to care. Everything from your lease renewals to issues with your lease will be met with silence, the management simply does not care. I have lived here for multiple years and used to love the building for how well mainained it was and how proactive and caring the staff was, but no more. Like every good thing, 221 bergen's good days seem to be behind us. Spend your time and energy elsewhere unless you enjoy sending constant reminders or want to visit the leasing office during work hours to ask them to reply to your emails.

Overall, a good experience living here. However, rent increases have been too much (over 50% since we moved here). The paint used in the rooms could be better quality. Otherwise, good place to live.

The best living and location. Safe and secure. Gym and garage within the complex. So far the best place to live in Jersey. Even the Newark Penn station is nearby.

It's a beautiful building that makes you satisfied to come back to after a long day at work. It is really close to the PATH station and has a couple of nice restaurants and stores you can go to. Very well-lit area at night, as well.

I have visiting all nearby leasing house, compare to other property Bergen house unit is Spacious and easy access to super market or path station. Affordable rent price and parking fee compare with other leasing.

So far so good. Management team is professional and approachable. The gym is nice, floors are clean, and the commute is convenient. The noise outside sometimes can get annoying, but most of time is manageable.

Great communication from the onsite team and great layout. The building is well maintained, and it is within walking distance from the Path train station which is a great plus.

It's a very nice building. Except the tenants are not friendly at all.
Former resident never got to reach out to the team for security deposit. No one is there to pick up calls and help. Been trying to contact for a month after lease ends.
The building is spectacular. The management is non-existent. Prepare to FIGHT for your every little need.
Good staff, great location and affordable price. The outside and garage parking is good. Only one thing needs headsup, for some apt, the water heater is inside of the closet.
I just moved out from 221 Bergen Apartments. I had the pleasure to live there for two and half years and it was great. It was a great community and Ray is the best supervisor I ever met. Thank very much.
I had the pleasure of moving in to 221 Bergen right as they opened in December 2015. It was centrally located to get to all the key spots I needed to go to in New York and New Jersey. When spring arrived, I quickly learned I had chosen the right place because I was not in the center of all the Red Bulls traffic from the train and driving hysteria. The apartment was gorgeous with plenty closet space (not so much so at the other places in the area). Definitely the ideal bachelor pad. I definitely recommend you getting to know Ray, the head of facilities.... he is awesome and knows everything. Jessika is also pretty awesome.
After scouring and looking, this building delivered. It's the attention to details that define the difference. Not a monster complex, but with enough amenities and cool urban appeal upon entry. The "monster" complexes in competitive price ranges have well appointed entries to get that first impression "wow" but once you head to the actual units the halls are very hospital like. A parking space is allocated per unit ($) If you choose a private garage its a nominal add on($$). Bring your critters, pets are okay($). Enjoy a gorgeous new smoke free home with just enough social space and 20 mins to World Trade via the Path. Put this one on your must see list...then you decide!
