Welcome to your 2-bedroom/ 1-bedroom + bonus room at Casa de Luz! The apartment consists of two spaces, which connect via a short hallway. ABOUT THE SPACES: - THE FIRST BEDROOM/ SUITE: When you walk into the apartment, you'll see a living room area, with a kitchenette and large bathroom. Walk a little further and you'll see a bedroom nook with new queen-sized bed, and large closet. This first sleeping area is a real bedroom with windows and closet. However, it is a *walk-through* bedroom, and it needs to be crossed in order to access the second bedroom in the back. - THE SECOND, "BONUS" BEDROOM/ OFFICE/ GUEST ROOM/ ETC: When you walk past the living room/ bedroom nook area, there is a lovely, bright, cheerful bonus bedroom in the back, fully furnished with queen-sized bed, closet, windows, and desk. Accessing this bedroom requires walking through the front bedroom. Therefore, the most comfortable scenario is to use it as a guest bedroom, bonus room, or office. ABOUT THE AMENITIES: - Fully stocked kitchenette including a giant fridge, hotplates, very large microwave, toaster oven, blender, grill, crock pot, etc. Cooking utensils, pots and pans, plates, etc. are provided. - The kitchenette has all the amenities of a real kitchen, except there is a hotplate stovetop, rather than a real stove with oven. Additionally, there is a double-basin kitchen sink located in the bathroom. Accessories are provided to make this setup more comfortable for you. - The bathroom is large and comfortable, with a full-sized shower. ABOUT THE DUPLEX ASPECT: - The unit is in the rear of a larger home. It has its own exterior entrance, and it's intended for completely independent living. It is divided from the main home by a lightweight accordion door (pictured) which locks on both sides, duplex-style. There are no shared spaces between the apartment and the main home, with the exception of that shared accordion door which acts as a wall. - The accordion door provides visual and psychological privacy, but since it's thin, it does not provide much noise privacy. However, as your duplex neighbor, I (the homeowner) am very quiet and respectful. Also, there are two sturdier interior doors to your spaces, so it's only the small hallway area that would be affected by any noise. But again, it's a quiet home so no worries there! :-) ABOUT THE OUTDOOR SPACES AND OTHER FEATURES: - Outdoor amenities include a wrap-around large yard, a dedicated small patio with bistro set for your exclusive use, as well as a communal patio with double lounger, umbrella table, and barbecue grill for entertaining. - There is a washer/dryer in the laundry room onsite, shared by all tenants on the property, accessed via separate entrance. - Super-fast fiber WiFi from AT&T is included along with other bills (electric, sewage, trash, etc.) NEIGHBORHOOD AMENITIES: In addition to the home being walking distance (5 min) to downtown Chula Vista, this part of Chula Vista is also super-close (15 min drive) to downtown San Diego. In addition to being close to many hospitals and other places of work, you will also be a: ~15-minute drive from downtown San Diego and the exciting Gaslamp district! ~15 minute drive from Coronado island, one of San Diego's most famous and beautiful beach spots, and 20 minutes from Imperial Beach. ~15 minute drive from trendy neighborhoods such as North Park, Hillcrest, University Heights, and other central San Diego hotspots. Additionally, the neighborhood of the home (downtown Chula Vista) is walkable and convenient.
