Wedged between the Passaic and Hackensack Rivers, North Arlington stands out among its neighbors -- it's cozy, yes, but it was also named on of 2017's Best Places to Live by Money Magazine. North Arlington has a small-town feel, but it is located just 10 miles from Manhattan and five miles from Meadowlands Sports Complex, which features the MetLife Stadium -- home of the NFL's New York Jets and New York Giants.
North Arlington is very family-friendly, with high-ranking schools and several nearby parks. Richard w De Korte Park, located on the Hackensack River, has walking paths, designated fishing areas, and picnic areas. The park is home to the William D. Mc Dowell Observatory, which is free and open to the public every Wednesday night year-round. Riverside County Park is situated along the Passaic River, providing a playground, fitness center, bocce, a walkway, a dog park, lighted tennis courts, ball fields, and a picnic pavilion.

Property Ratings at 225 Ridge Rd
It’s a nice neighborhood with easy transportation if you don’t drive a car. Lots of pizza restaurants along Ridge rd so you can always find a decent place to eat. Safe to walk and jog, but I wouldn’t recommend to do this early morning hours before sunrise or late nights. We have some car thieves that come from other city’s to break into cars of something even steal. As for living in 225 the building is quiet and most of the residents are nice. However, when it comes to receiving packages and mail sometimes they go missing. The owner of the building is a nice guy, but he loves to increase everybody rent every year and like to blame it on rising taxes. The building has a heating problem every winter and the owner is constantly trying to fix it but always stemmed to take a cheap route on repairs so the fixes wind up being temporarily. The building has a very old plumbing system. There is a washer and dryer room, the machines are very old and barely work you are better off going to a laundromat. During the summer the apartments get very hot and you get a lot of water bugs. Your responsible for getting an exterminator if it’s a bad problem. The owner will do nothing about it. Building maintenance is not done very well the guy in charge only shows up to put out the garbage. Also getting the owner to make repairs when needed has become difficult. He like to travel and only shows up once a month to collect his rent. If none of these issues bother a new possible tenet the place is okay to live.
