About This Home
Welcome to 'Virginia's House,' a lovingly restored 1870s home filled with modern comforts! For 50 years, this was Virginia's cherished residence, and we've thoughtfully updated the interior while preserving its historic charm. Nestled in a peaceful neighborhood, you'll enjoy complete privacy with the added convenience of the owner residing nearby. Our shared backyard offers seasonal delights: pick fresh berries for breakfast, unwind in the beautiful gardens, or grill up a feast on the back porch! The first floor boasts a spacious living room with a comfy sofa bed and smart TV, a large dining room perfect for gatherings (seats 8), a fully equipped kitchen, a dedicated workspace, laundry facilities, and a convenient half bath. Upstairs, find three bedrooms with flexible sleeping arrangements: two singles, a queen, and a full-size bed. Feel free to bring sleeping bags for extra little ones! Fur babies allowed for a fee. Relax on the expansive front porch or the cozy back porch, and enjoy the friendly neighborhood atmosphere. We're ideally located just five minutes from I-80 and I-99, and within walking distance of the library, courthouse, playgrounds, a park, world-class fly fishing, restaurants, and an outfitter. Penn State University and nine state parks are a short 15-minute drive away. Take advantage of our special weekly rate of $900 or our monthly rate of $2700 (one week free!).
