Extending along the Arkansas River and reaching east to roughly Old Town, Downtown Wichita is an exciting destination, filled with beautiful parks like Central Riverside Park, elegant cultural destinations like Century II Performing Arts & Convention Center, and historic destinations like the Orpheum Theatre. Downtown Wichita is an artistic neighborhood with more than 50 art galleries and museums to explore.
One of the Midwest's favorite museums is located in Downtown Wichita: the Museum of World Treasures. This museum includes Egyptian mummies, natural history exhibits, military exhibits, and Fossil Hall. The hall includes fossilized skeletons of dinosaurs, including a 38-foot T-Rex. The Old Cowtown Museum brings the Wild West to life, while the Wichita Art Museum offers three centuries of art at the state's largest art museum.
Residents enjoy shopping in the Old Town Marketplace with its narrow, cobblestone streets and brick buildings.

Property Ratings at 250 Douglas Place
I signed a 12 month lease and I can’t wait to get out of it… I didn’t know but they charge you to contact them each time by phone. Hope you like wind whistling through the windows.
They have the best management hands down. Ms.Dana has been very helpful and understanding throughout the pandemic. Even with everything going management has ensure their residents accommodations are met. I love location, right off the river. Also surrounded by great dining and shopping locations.
Michael and Dana are very accommodating and proud of the apartment they manage. Other residents are welcoming, plenty of amenities, and a good central location. Apartments are priced according to what floor they're on. Parking garage has adequate clearance at maximum for a stock 3/4 ton truck with crew cab and 6.5' bed, anything larger and it will be unlikely to fit. Appliances in the apartment are nothing special but they are clean and get the job done, could use some more modern features like Ethernet ports (there are phone jacks in each room as well as coax cable ports). There is an unpleasant stench in the lobby area that persists but every other floor I've been on has smelled good. Careful with furniture size (I brought an 8' couch and the elevators were not large enough for it, had to be carried up 9 floors and barely scraped through the landings). There are laundry machines on 6th and basement floors, gym attached to basement laundry and includes a sauna. 24th floor lounge offers a great 180 degree view of west Wichita with plenty of seating. Free WiFi in gym, 6th floor, and 24th floor. Overall a really great apartment with awesome views of the surrounding area.
This place smelled like a bar restroom every time I've been there.
It's an ok place but could be a whole lot better. Management is very nice but rarely follow through with what they say they will do. Maintenance staff is mostly useless and the place always has a lot of trash and cigarette butts laying around. There are so many options in Wichita and for the price I'd keep looking.
The rent is decent for having one of the highest and by far most distant views in the city. Each apartment has hardwood flooring with the exception of the bedrooms that have carpet. Heightened security 24/7 and an electronic key fob access into the building and elevator so you can be assured that anyone who does not reside in the building can get in. An attached gated parking garage masked for keeping your vehicle well maintained at times during inclement weather. I would for sure recommend this as a place to make new friends and completely change your lifestyle for the better!
