Property Ratings at 2555 N Clark St
The new management is crap. Stay away from this property.
-Terrible management. They ignore emails and never seem to be on your side if you have an issue. -Parking is so tight good luck not getting your car hit. -During the winter, cold air seeps through the windows. Management tried to fix it, but didn't, and told me this building had old windows and that's just how it is. This raised my bill so high and I was freezing all winter. -A dog has been barking since the day I got here and has been going unresolved for months even though a doorman confirmed the barking and I sent a video of the barking at the beginning of my lease. They keep saying I need another doorman to hear it and more videos. This building is far from what it may seem.
We loved the leasing office and thought that the apartment was in a great location. All of the tenants seemed friendly and happy.
Price is a little high compared to some options in the area. Plus some of the amenities that would add value are a little below average. For example, the gym is a little small, the laundry is very expensive and we've barely been able to use the rooftop because of all the building construction...which is very loud and annoying

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Now that our facade work has been completed we are looking forward to a full summer with our rooftop deck!
I would definitely recommend this building to friends. The staff is helpful and the building is in really good shape. No one wants to live in an old and tired building.

The only problem I have is with all the noise with the works. It has started up again and it?;s so loud I can't think during the day. This makes it hard to study.

It's a nice place. But I haven't been impressed with its management in the last year or so.

Parking onsite makes it very positive. Great location. I would like to see the roof open more, and the adjacent indoor area made into a hang out place.. with movies, books, regular potlucks, etc. ??
i love this apartment, i love the location and i always tell my friends and families how much i love living here
YES
All staff are very helpful and available for all questions or concerns I had. I would definitely recommend.
Location and staff. Not the very frequent elevator issues or closed due to a move.
I like living here a lot, but sometimes the "age" of the building really shows. I've had problems with closet doors numerous times and twice with my bathtub.
It was a great place to live. Especially as young woman, living alone, I always felt safe.
The staff is amazing and responsive and kind. The doormen and women are always up and ready to open doors and help out.
I feel that as the price continues to steeply go up each year the issues that should be taken care of with a price tag like this are not being handled
The noise level due to the roof was aweful. Amenities one reason o chose to live here was due to rooftop have not enjoyed the amenity. During the summer mesquitos were a huge problem i the balcony for numerous renters all they did was put raid and not more than that.
I would, but I know that part of the reason that this apartment draws attention is because of the advertised rooftop. Since we were promised a rooftop multiple times, I would not recommend this apartment to someone looking for that amenity because I feel like its access is not guaranteed.

Thank you for your feedback. We are very excited to open up our roof deck this summer. As with construction there were a few set backs but we are getting closer to finishing the roof deck. As always if you have any questions please let me know. Thank you, John D., Business Manager
I would because the apartments are beautiful, the building has all of the amenities, and the location is great. I would not because most of my friends would not be looking in this price range.
It's a very expensive living situation considering no roof top very expensive for parking and no in unit washer and dryer
I think the apartments are a great value now that the renovations are completed. It is surprisingly difficult to find apartments that are as modern and clean as this apartment was.
I would highly recommend this community simply for the leasing office. My experience overall has been fantastic and far exceeds to professionalism, knowledge, and responsiveness of all other leasing offices I've worked with during my apartment search.
I don't think I am alone when I say this but I've been waiting for the top deck to open. No notification except "sometime" this summer. Part of the reason I rent in a high rise is to have a nice sun deck.
Probably the nicest apartment I have ever lived in. Very modern, lots of natural light, friendly management staff, very clean building, and friendly security. Excellent views and property is very well taken care of. Just wish we could get a real squat machine in the gym instead of a smith machine :) Absolutely recommend.

Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know your experience at our community! We are very excited to hear you love living here. We can definitely look into seeing if the squat machine could be a possibility for our fitness center. I lived for a while and saw this building undergo several changes in ownership. Quality of living has deteriorated severely in the last 12 months and is a far cry from 'luxurious living' as claimed by the building management. Several of their claims are misleading - the rooftop sundeck that is advertised is closed this year, the 'luxurious' remodeled apartments do not deserve the rent charged - poor finishing, bad paint jobs, low hot water pressure, noisy air conditioning, cheap floor laminate...the list goes on and on. Construction has been going on for months, and the management is less than apologetic about that. If you decide to take a tour of the apartments, be sure to tour the specific apartment you will be renting. When viewing it, check the edges of the ceiling or walls for poorly finished paint jobs, or the very poorly done wall baseboard installation (you can actually see the gaping space between the baseboard and the floor), or kitchen cabinets that look pretty and new but have cracks in them already. Location of the building is great and the fact that there are balconies does make this building unique. But considering the very poorly remodeled apartments, the poor lifestyle quality with constant maintenance issues and construction noises, and a management that doesn't really care, there are several better options to get your money's worth than here.

Hello, I am very sorry to hear about your experience in relation to the renovations here at 2555 North Clark. While we are excited about the improvements taking place and try to keep renovations to certain days and hours, I realize this may interfere with people's schedules. We are excited that our 1st floor renovations are now complete and only have 1 more apartment home to renovate in the building. I apologize again for the inconvenience, and please feel free to reach out to me directly if there is anything we can address in your apartment home. We appreciate your feedback on our community! Thank you. Sincerely, James Shortenhaus Business Manager
These reviews below are clearly fake. No one in their right mind that moved into this building in the last year can view it as anything but a trainwreck of a living space. I've rented at various high rises for roughly the last 7 years and have never once felt the need to contact management and complain before living here, at 2555 it's a weekly routine. The place is a mess, there is non stop construction, and the noise is unbearable. This morning there was hammering that sounded like it was coming from inside my apartment at 6:20 am. There are literally thousands of better living options in Chicago and moving into here is probably one of the biggest mistakes I've made in my adult life.
This apartment is great. My roommate and I love it. It is in a prime location, but it is very expensive. We both work two jobs to keep up this lifestyle.
Moved into a 2-bedroom in June of 2015. The unit was completely renovated prior to move-in and is beautiful. Tons of outdoor space and many great amenities in building including fitness center, sauna!, rooftop with grills and firepits, and full service front desk. The entire building has been going through renovations and is really looking beautiful.
