Tree-filled, historic, and packed with educational opportunity, there's no other neighborhood quite like Fenway. The neighborhood may be most well-known for its titular attraction, Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. However, the area is also renowned for its sprawling greenspace. The name "Fenway" refers to the neighborhood’s lush parkway and tree-filled paths that wind lazily through the area, forming part of Frederick Law Olmsted’s “Emerald Necklace Plan” (a chain of parks throughout Boston). The Fenway opened in 1876, and its route includes the Museum of Fine Arts and the Isabella Steward Gardner Museum.

Property Ratings at 26 Hemenway St
Over the last year I've stayed here, Ive had horrible experiences with mice and cockroaches in the building and even mice in my apartment a few times (I keep a very clean apartment). I'm really not the type of person to write reviews, but after the laundry machine ruined some of my new clothes I'm determined to make sure word gets out. The reality is the washing and dryer machines have been working off and on for years. Turns out only one washing machine was working today, which is crazy considering the hundred(s) people that live in this 4 story building. My neighbours and I have complained to management about the machines, and are always extremely slow to fix them, but not once has replaced them! Which is nuts. I went a whole month doing my laundry in my sink, which is absurd considering the rent I pay.
Love our tall ceilings ! Floors look a little dirty, but white walls make the space more open.
This review is for a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment building is well-kept and the landlord office is a 5 minute walk down the street. The apartment itself has a recently renovated kitchen and hardwood floors throughout it. The draw back is that it is on the smaller side with the kitchen and living room being one combined room. Additionally, the street is located on seems to be a main road with high volumes of traffic and is very noisy during the day and all hours of the night with students and cars/trucks. However, the location of this building almost cannot be beat. It is less than five minutes walking distance to the nearest T stop, there are parking garages all around, you can walk to Newbury Street, Mass Ave, Fenway Park, and so much more. There are shops of all kinds so close as well. Additionally, there is laundry in the basement which is a great time saver!
