Southside Flats is one of two neighborhoods that make up Pittsburgh's dynamic Southside. The primarily residential neighborhood is located at the base Mount Washington, Southside's enormous hill. It also sits right under the Southside Slopes, the other Southside neighborhood, which runs precariously up the hillside. Residents of the Flats have convenient access to the hottest shopping and nightlife district in Pittsburgh, as well as riverfront trails and parks.
The lively neighborhood lies south of the Monongahela River and south of East Carson Street, known as the "Great American Main Street." One of Pittsburgh's major commercial corridors, East Carson Street offers 15 blocks of Victorian architecture, boutiques, restaurants, bars, art galleries, theatres, and live music venues.
Southside has experienced a residential renaissance, as older 19th-century homes, abandoned factories, and mills are being renovated into modern houses, apartments, and luxury lofts.

Property Ratings at 2626 South Side Flats
We have lived here since February and really enjoy it. The indoor, heated pool has been amazing for cold days, and the hot tub. The location can’t be beat, you are a minute walk from Aldi, tons of restaurants, REI, the river, biking trails…The staff here is really great as well, just super helpful and friendly. The apartments are very well kept also. The halls, common areas and amenities are always in great shape. 10/10!

The South Side Flats is a great place to live. The building and amenities are everything you need, with the added benefit of great staff and community. The updates and upgrades over the past year keep this place on top as far as the best of the South Side!

Thank you for the rave review! We are thrilled that you are enjoying your time here.
Beautiful building with many features not found in other apartments in Pittsburgh.
We keep a small studio unit there for our frequent stays in Pittsburgh. Great location and area with many things happening to make it better. The facility is well maintained, the courtyard is lovely, and if something could be found better than the sand there, it would be a downright charming area. Apartments are not luxurious but functionally well equipped, including in-unit laundry appliances. Rents are reasonable and track area rates. Issues/problems are promptly addressed. The lease process is tedious. Overall, 2626 South Side Flats is a good value place to rent an apartment.
Just move out and found out they charged me 400+$ for no reason and no explanation. tried to reach out 3 times but no response. Main elevator to parking was broken for 4-5 months.
Great management group. Very accommodating and compassionate. Really nice.
The new management has been doing a great job with cleanliness and responding to maintenance requests. Having a pool available all year is awesome. Most of the neighbors are nice and friendly as well.
Lovely decor and spacious apartment
Excellent place to live. Clean and spotless always. Late fees are applied too soon. But Brookfield is more lenient than the last owner. Great owners now. Much improved cleanliness.
Very noisy, dogs will bark 24/7 and unfortunately located right next to a dog day care … who’s great idea was to put a dog kettle next to an apartment …
Excellent place to live. Great amenities and cool people that work and live here.
Great Location. Great Apartment. Great Amenities. Great Management Team. I would highly recommend this community to anyone wanting to live in the city
This is the absolute worst place to live in Pittsburgh. Moved here in July 2021 and there has been a constant issue with our pipes making noises in the bathroom. This became so unbearable, we couldn't sleep. On top of that noise, the dog kennel attached to the building will keep you up too! They advertise 24/7 concierge service but that is not true. I had packages for days that I could not get due to no staff being there after my work hours. You pay for specific spots in the garage but our spot was taken for 2 weeks and nothing was done. My car was broken into in the garage and the police officer told me to request a new spot. I requested a new spot and nothing was ever done! I would never in a million years sign to live here again. AVOID THIS PLACE.
I think this place is livable, but the biggest complain that many of us have is that there is a dog day care right next door that is extremely loud. They will start barking from 6:50AM in the morning every hour until 7PM at night. If you want sleep, this is not a great place to stay.
What can I say, other than GREAT! Staff is so helpful, it’s a quiet community, and has awesome amenities. It’s like living at a 5 star Vegas resort! I’ve transferred a couple times within the building and Ron, the manager has been very helpful every time. Everyone is so helpful. The maintenance guys are awesome too and treat pets with respect. I have two cats and they’ve always took the time to give them some attention any time there was a minor issue with the apartment that needed repaired. I think the place will only improve with time! 5 star experience!
The images look gorgeous and they are real. It has a gym, a swimming pool, barbecue sets, etc. The gym smells weird most the time cause there is no ventilation system in there. The swimming pool shuts down by the city once a while due to the quality of the water. Very dirty barbecue that nobody maintains. Lots of outdoor lighting that will keep you from falling asleep at night. Very thin wall that you can literally punch through and say hello to your neighbors (or just say hello they will hear you). The building shakes when the train passes by. The complex looks good, from the outside of course. But if you need a place that’s peaceful and able to rest and recharge coming back from work, spend your money somewhere else. The cost is just too high for the quality.
