The apartment features hardwood floors, big windows facing a quiet wooded creek, tall ceilings, large kitchen, chandeliers, and tons of closet space. The apartment is in one of DC's historic buildings, built in the art deco style in 1929. It is a gorgeous building with a 24-hour doorman, pet-friendly, small gym, community room, outdoor patio overlooking Rock Creek Park, on-site laundry, dry cleaning delivery, on-site (and very responsive) maintenance staff, all within a great community of shops, restaurants and pubs. And the building has its own charming history. LBJ lived in the building and Harry Truman played poker there. I absolutely love living here, but will be on assignment overseas for the rest of the year. This furnished apartment will be available from mid-March through December and includes everything you need to move in - linens, dishes, pots and pans, etc. The rent is $1550/month and includes utilities (gas, electric, water, trash). There is on street parking and a bicycle garage area. The apartment is located just off of Connecticut Avenue across from the Zoo, a 10 minute walk to both Woodley Park metro and Cleveland park metro. The L1 and L2 buses stop almost directly in front of the building.
