Situated at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Central Virginia, Charlottesville is a fiercely modern city with a reverence for the past. Two United States presidents called Charlottesville home, Thomas Jefferson and James Monroe. Thomas Jefferson designed Monticello and the University of Virginia, both of which are now UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Adjacent to Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello is James Monroe’s Ash Lawn-Highland, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Charlottesville also houses the largest collection of Aboriginal art outside of Australia, the Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection at the University of Virginia. The Jefferson Theater, the Paramount Theater, and a number of music venues in the downtown area host regular performances in Charlottesville, adding to the rich arts and cultural scene.

Property Ratings at 29 Central at Stonefield
I love my new home! Such a cozy atmosphere and location.
It is so convenient to be walking distance to Trader Joe’s for grocery shopping.
They've delayed critical repairs for months; in that time we've had repeated fire alarms, our packages have been stolen, our cars have been vandalized; and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
I moved in after the apartment complex opened and have had nothing but issues. You can easily find apartments for the same price with more amenities and less headache. Literally less headache. The fire alarm constantly goes off. During the day, in the evening, multiple times a day almost weekly. The fire department comes and nothing is wrong. The key fobs rarely work. I’ve had 3 at this point. When I moved in, the first person to live in my apartment, the dryer was dented and wouldn’t work so it had to be replaced. The microwave was also broken. There are two light switches in each bedroom. On goes to one plug in one outlet and the other goes to nothing. I assume it’s for a ceiling fan/ light since there is a plastic cover in the ceiling of the rooms but the management won’t acknowledge it. Packages are left outside the apartment constantly. Not in the package concierge and not in the building. Just out front where there are no security cameras. In fact there are barely any cameras around the property. Which is fine, but the back door is always open so who knows who is coming in and out. The gym is laughable and whoever put equipment in there clearly never worked out. Back to the apartment itself, there are phone jacks in every room. Yes phone jacks, not Ethernet ports. They are wired to the internet modem. Whoever built the apartment has no idea the difference apparently. So unless you plan on 8 land lines in your apartment you aren’t using the “Ethernet” ports. The water pressure is terrible. There is no pool, there is no green space besides the round about our front. There are no grills. There is only incompetence found at this apartment. Hope this helps someone not make the same mistake as me. I will not be living here when my lease ends and hope no one else chooses to live here because for the price you deserve better.
