About This Property
We have a furnished Studio Room (12x14) with a kitchenette and full bath that is available for immediate rental in the lower half of our split-level home in North Arlington. The rent of $1200 includes all utilities, Roku Streaming Device, cable and high-speed wireless internet. This is a great place for a single professional seeking a temporary rental, although we have had people stay as long as five years! We are asking for a minimum lease commitment of six months and after that you can go month to month with a month's notice to vacate. A security deposit of half a month's rental is also required along with references. The Studio has just been repainted and upgraded. The carpet has been cleaned and a new toilet installed in the bathroom along with a new mattress and box spring for the twin bed. Room furnishings include a twin bed, two dressers, desk, and easy chair. The Kitchenette includes a sink, under the counter refigerator, microwave, toaster oven, mini-air fryer, a burner, pots and pans, dishes, glasses, etc. The bathroom is large and room. This Studio is for rent to single professionals only. We prefer someone with a regular day job and not someone who works from home on a regular basis. You must be able to provide two references, one business and one personal. This is a family home, not a "group" house or party place. We are low-key and fairly quiet. LOCATION: Situated in the heart of North Arlington, between Ballston and 7 Corners in an excellent, upscale neighborhood composed of single family, split-level dwellings and McMansions. The house is located in the Boulevard Manor section of North Arlington, and situated between Arlington Blvd. on one side, and Wilson Blvd on the other with easy access to Route 50, Route 66, Route 7, and 395. In non-rush traffic the drive to Washington, DC is approximately 10 minutes by car. We are also close to the Pentagon and other military facilities. SHOPPING: The house is within a few minutes walking distance of the Willston I and II shopping Centers where a Safeway, CVS, dry-cleaners, and other shops are located. The 7 Corners Shopping Mall is located across from Willston I shopping Mall and has a Barnes and Noble and Starbucks Café as well as Shoppers Food Warehouse along with many other shops and stores. CLOSEST METRO: The closest Metro is the Ballston Metro. To reach Washington, DC to go to work, it is advisable to walk the very short distance (a few minutes) to Route 50, and cross over to the bus stop. During rush hour express buses come every 12 minutes or so and take you down to the Rosslyn Metro, one stop away from Washington, DC. You can also take the bus from Wilson Blvd. However, this is not an express bus, and it winds through all the neighborhood stops. Distance-wise, Ballston is the closest Metro. If you do not take the Metro to work, there is free parking on the street in front of the house. You can call the Arlington County Government number 703/228-RIDE and they can give you complete instructions on which bus to take to take you to wherever you want to go.

Directly across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C., Arlington is less a suburb than an extension of the nation’s capital. It’s the home of the Pentagon, Arlington National Cemetery, and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, with a number of waterfront parks offering beautiful views across the river to the National Mall.
The community provides a wide range of living options, from apartments, townhomes, and duplexes to condos and houses. A major reason for Arlington’s popularity is that there is so much to do. Washington may be packed with monuments, museums, and other sightseeing landmarks, but Arlington holds the advantage when it comes to the more day-to-day shopping, dining, entertainment, and nightlife.
You’ll have several options for getting around town or into D.C., whether you choose to drive, take the Metro, or ride your bike — Arlington has earned a silver rating from the League of American Bicyclists.
