Apartment 21

Nicely sized and upgraded kitchen and great living room, bedrooms both have good closet space and a bit of additional storage. Gets good natural light, as all rooms have bathrooms. Bathroom is a bit of a squeeze, but location is very convenient, Duane Reade a couple blocks away, grocery store a block away, and storefront is a dry cleaners with a great staff.

2 Bd Mid 90s UES, Affordability

This building is affordable. It is a walk up with no doorman. One bedroom has sliding door closet in the bedroom and the second bedroom has the closet outside the bedroom. Each bedroom can squeeze up to queen mattress but full would be better. At this time, there is significant construction because of the 2nd ave subway. Surprisingly, it is not too loud. Bathroom is very tiny. If you are claustrophobic, this is not for you. Take and average sized human, put your hands in prayer and lift your elbows up so your forearm is parallel to the floor...If you are standing in front of the toilet or sink... You will hit the wall with your elbows. That is how small it is. The block is ok. It isn't that pleasant...dirty and messy. Many buildings have their trash in front and the rats just live there. If you are not watching, a rat may walk over your feet... The landlord is courteous when you can get him on the phone. The cleaners in front take your package for you and hold them at their store...So that is a nice benefit. There is a cleaning service that cleans the common area every weekend. They just mop the floors and wipe the doors ... No intense cleaning. Lastly my apartment is pretty clean... I have no cockroaches nor mice issues but I know another apartment have cockroaches. This apartment building is affordable so if you want something better you will pay more. If the bathroom was nicer and bigger I'd be happier. They allow pets.
