About This Property
This recently renovated, furnished apartment comes with lots of FREE extras: all utilities paid other than Internet, a one-car attached garage with opener; a large storage closet; in-unit laundry (free); and a deck. We have window washers who come twice a year, and an ongoing organic pest treatment program (quarterly). We handle all the yard care/snow shoveling, and have a plowing contract with a local company that ensures you can always get out of the driveway and off to work on time. We clean all the shared areas (hallway, stairs). It has big windows; a kitchen with a double stainless steel sink and smooth-top electric range; a large bathroom with a new glass-walled shower with rain head and separate handheld sprayer; and easy clean LVP flooring throughout. The apartment shares the house air conditioning/furnace system, and also has its own baseboard heat. It is furnished with a sofa, TV table, coffee table, small desk, dining table with four chairs and extra leaf to seat 8 (and 2 wooden folding chairs), sideboard, rugs, small dresser, and small additional items (all as shown in the photos). There is a king-size bed and mattress. The unit was wired for cable in 2020 so the hookups are ready. No pets, no underage drinking, and no smoking or tobacco products of any kind on the property. Due to my allergies we ask for a fragrance-free environment (no air fresheners, scented candles, essential oils, dryer sheets). We'll supply fragrance free clothes soap, dryer balls, cleaning supplies for your first 3 months to help cover any costs for making that transition. The apartment requires a one-year lease, and does not allow sub-leasing, "long term guests", or adding new renters without approval. The $40 application (applicable toward your first month's rent) covers a background check and a credit check including your income to rent ratio. Since we share an entryway with this apartment, we will also require proof of COVID vaccination and boosters for all applicants. We are a couple with a background in PBS/filmmaking, who are also the owners of 2 beagles which are mostly quiet and surprisingly well-behaved. I work from home (as a writer), and my husband is retired. This is a great space for someone looking for a calm, quiet, environment. Our past renters have mostly been young professionals, and many have chosen to stay beyond their initial lease, and only left due to life changes (1 moved for job, 1 having a baby and needing a bigger place). Pierce Far Eastern Suburbs, as the name suggests, is situated on the eastern border of Wisconsin along the Mississippi and Saint Croix River confluence, about one hour away from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
