This apartment is located on a scenic residential street, yet you can walk to dozens of fantastic locally owned restaurants, Starbucks, and grocery stores. On weekdays, you can stroll to the Library of Congress, Supreme Court, Capitol, or any one of the many Smithsonian's. Almost all of DC's best sites are within walking distance if you use the metro (there are two within a few blocks - Capitol South and Eastern Market). On weekends, head to Eastern Market to buy unique souvenirs or groceries. Favorite restaurants nearby include Barrel, Ambar, Le Bon Cafe, and Hawk and Dove. Starbucks is one block away. Guests do not have access to the backyard, and the back door is for emergencies only. There is private outdoor space at the front door of this apartment that you are welcome to use. Smoking of any kind (marijuana, cigarettes, or vaping) is not permitted anywhere in the interior of the building or within fifty feet of the building, including outdoor spaces. Should the odor of smoke be reported, the stay will be terminated, and a $500 smoking fee will be claimed. Parties and events are strictly prohibited. All homes are equipped with noise monitoring devices, and noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending the stay. In the event of excess noise, music, gathering, or parties, a representative will respond, and the reservation will be terminated without refund. All buildings and homes are equipped with some type of exterior camera that records the exterior and common areas, including all entries to the building. The fireplace is for decorative purposes only. There may be times when the home needs unexpected or scheduled preventative maintenance. While efforts are made not to interrupt your stay, access to the properties may be required at any time, after providing 24-hour written notice. The contactless, self-check-in process includes detailed access instructions sent 48 hours before arrival, and a unique access code sent eight hours prior to arrival. Cooking grease, food, coffee grinds, feminine products, baby wipes, dental floss, Q-tips, diapers, pills, and paper towels should not be flushed down the toilet or put down drains or in the garbage disposal, as plumbing issues may result in charges.
