Located 15 miles south of Downtown Denver, the West Hampden area sits partly in Denver, but its proximity to and overlap with suburbs such as Englewood, Aurora, and Lakewood give it a suburban feel with an urban address. Predominantly new construction fills the area, ensuring that renters and buyers have access to beautiful homes and apartments with modern amenities. Parks and walkways to the south along the Cherry Creek Reservoir keeps residents entertained and active all year round, while Interstate 275 and 25 will put you in Downtown Denver in no time.

Property Ratings at 3300 Tamarac Apartments
Upon moving from Louisiana to here we had such poor communication from the office staff. Once we got here there was a huge fan in our apartment and found out from neighbors that the apartment had flooded. Reached out multiple times to the office, heard nothing except when they asked for the fan back. Today our apartment has flooded again and can’t even get the office to answer a phone. Walked to the office and was told maintenance would be here within an hour. It’s been almost 2 and still nothing.

One problem after another. Lost my rent and almost evicted me. Mold under sink and they are ignoring me. Hallway stairs covered in old smelly stained carpet. Paint drops everywhere all over the apt- they must have painted the ceiling w/o dropcloths. They wanted to give me the keys to a dirty apt. I had to insist they clean it. They charge you for everything- water, sewer, trash, gas, electricity, even the things you don’t use- electricity in the clubhouse, maintenance on pools that aren’t always open. Even rain water drainage!!!!!!!!

I lived here for 13 months and chose not to renew because I felt unsafe at the property, and the property manager and staff are of poor quality. Lisa D. and Ana L. are extremely unresponsive. This place does not care about your well-being, only your rent. The photos they post are extremely deceitful. The dog park is in ruin and never cared for. It is covered in weeds, and the obstacles are broken. It was like this the entire time I lived there. The volleyball pit they show is nothing like their photo. It is essentially a sand pit full of weeds. No net, and rail spikes or rebar are poking out of the wood outlining the perimeter. I maintained my unit and cleaned it weekly, yet I was still charged a $110 cleaning fee for my kitchen sink and a $55 carpet cleaning fee. They failed to provide evidence to support these charges as well. I have been attempting to dispute these charges since February 27th with no response from Tamarac or MG Properties. If you move here, there is a chance you will be unhappy with your choice. High crime, unresponsive office, and the possibility you will not get your deposit back no matter how well you maintain your unit. Read the reviews and walk the property for yourself before attempting to move here.

I understand they are trying to improve the property, but the way they are going about it is absolutely asinine. Construction is constant, loud, and invasive. They will ask you to leave all day so they can work and will barely give you 24hrs notice. Water is shut off often, and the property won't email you until after its already shut off. They've been fixing my roof for close to a year now. Projects are always delayed and never finished on time, or are started on a different date than the office says, which is extremely inconvenient if you've already prepared for the work to be done. If you work from home don't even consider this place. There is no privacy or peace.

My car got stolen today in the middle of the day from the parking in front of my building. I pay for parking each month and they don't even have security cameras. Stay away from this place!!!!!!

Hello, we appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are sorry to hear your car was vandalized during your stay at our community. We assure you we work diligently to keep our community safe and take the utmost precautions in an attempt to prevent crime from happening at our community. Again, we are deeply sorry for what occurred to your vehicle. Please reach out our leasing office directly if we can help escalate any additional concerns. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Do not recommend for anyone who works from home or wants a peaceful place to live. Constant construction that fails to meet deadlines, the office has minimal awareness of the construction that's happening, and we to leave our apartments frequently for "improvements". I can't believe a management company would think this is a good method of improving the buildings. It's way too much all at once, it's invasive, and it doesn't seem to be coming to an end.

Hi |there thank you for your review. If you haven't done so already, please reach out to our corporate office at the below link. We would like to hear more about your situation and gain the opportunity to make this right. https://mgp.on.spiceworks.com/portal
The management is incredibly rude and dismissive. The rooves are in shambles, there are electrical shorts, water gets turned off for maintenance without warning about once a month, the locks on the doors don't work properly and management refuses to update them, the lobbies have been frequently broken into at night for years but they won't install security, the lobbies are absolutely filthy but they claim their cleaners are thorough, they won't deal with problem tenants vandalizing the property, etc... This place is trash right now, and it's 100% because management doesn't care. I've already filed a complaint with HUD.

I am very happy to recognize 3300 Tamarac Apartments in this review. An important aspect of where I live has to do with the feelings I feel when I visit a property or home. What I like about 3300 Tamarac Apartments is... everything!! The leasing team answered all of my pre-leasing questions, and they were very respectful and friendly - available to reach for further questions and concerns via email, voicemail, and phone, and they always help myself and their residents the best they can from what I've experienced. Now granted, this is my experience. Everyone has a different one, and mine is just one of many impressions that residents have shared via reviews. The maintenance team has resolved every issue I have submitted a work order for, and they are professional in their interactions with me, and they take care with their repairs. José and Samuel have assisted me the most, and they are great, as is all other team members I've encountered. I'm confident that anything else that may ever come up repair wise for my unit will be handled efficiently and with care. The cleaning team does a great job keeping up the hallways and other common areas from what I've observed, and I am very grateful for them as well. This apartment complex has units ranging from studio, one, and two bedrooms based on their availability, and some of the units are in various stages of remodel, which I think is great. This community is an established one, and as such, the surrounding trees are large and pretty! Even though the community is located very conveniently off of a main street, the grounds have a sense of peace about them as you walk through them which I very much like. I also never notice any noise. Lastly, I enjoy the amenities that the community offers which include a fitness room, an Amazon Hub which you securely receive your package deliveries at, a laundry room in each building, two raquetball rooms, a courtesy computer and printer in the community room, a dog park area, a community grill and some exterior charcoal grills, a playground, exterior basketball court, pools in the summertime, and I even noticed a marked volleyball court. I would highly recommend touring and renting in this nice community, with great local stores, close public transportation, and a close highway to take you wherever you need to go. I hope you get to enjoy it here as much as I am :) Respectfully, Matt V.

Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we did. We hope you have a great day!
My year of living at 3300 Tamarac was nothing short of a nightmare. My car was vandalized. There were homeless people constantly taking over the laundry room or sleeping in the hall/stairways. Maintenance and security are a joke. Security can’t even get in the building. Maintenance can’t be bothered for air or heat. There were gunshots around the complex almost every night. No respect or concern for safety from the leasing team. Anytime I called with a complaint I was met with “Call the cops, not us.” You can’t even go to the pool without being harassed. Utilities would randomly double and their response was “We use a third party, sorry.” But on the upside, they give you $100 off your rent if you write them a 5-star review. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone who values their life, safety or hard-earned money.

We are deeply discouraged by this characterization of our community as it is not indicative of the comfortable home life nor the high level of service we strive to provide. Our residents' peace of mind within their homes and around the community is of the utmost importance to us, and we regret that you received the opposite impression. We encourage any current resident in need of assistance to please reach out to the office for a chat. Everyone experiences apartment living differently, and we are sorry our community proved not to be the best fit for you personally. We wish you luck in your future endeavors.

DO NOT LIVE HERE! I have never regretted signing a lease somewhere so much. The management is laughable and there are constant maintenance issues. When calling in to figure out why the water is off or there is no heat the people in the office are extremely rude and unapologetic. This weeks maintenance issue is that all of the laundry rooms have been "out of order" for a full week. As usual when I called in to ask when they would be back the person in the leasing office not only did not have an answer for when I would be able to wash my clothes again but was unapologetic and rude. I cannot stress enough PLEASE DO NOT LIVE HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

Love living here. The ponds are beautiful in the summer, my neighbors are quiet, and the office team is super nice- they know my dog by name!

Thank you so much! We love counting you and your furry friend among the valued members of the 3300 Tamarac community and hope to continue doing so for many years to come! It's awesome to hear that our attentive staff and beautiful grounds are serving you so well. Remember, the office is always just a quick phone call away should you ever need anything. We want to ensure your time at our community remains exceptional! Thanks again!
It was HORRIBLE experience living in Tamarac, we will never return or suggest any of my friends or acquaintances to move-in there. Marijuana smells everywhere day and night, worst place to live. If you have kids and family it's a big NO They do not keep promises even after given in writing. Some people in the front office are pathetic, no matter how polite you are they will YELL in writing or talking

We are sad to see that your experience at our community did not earn your recommendation. Our team is always happy to hear resident concerns, address any and all issues, and accommodate all reasonable requests. While we do our best to work with residents, we are ultimately beholden to the terms of the lease as written. We apologize for any confusion you may have held about these terms and for any inconvenience this caused you. We are sorry our community proved not to be the best fit for you personally and we wish you luck in your future endeavors.
I have lived here for a total of 6 months and since then my car has been broken into and on a separate occasion, my car was actually STOLEN! My neighbors car was broken into last month, and just 2 weeks ago someone was outside my window trying to steal a car and when I emailed the leasing office NO RESPONSE!!!! AND THIS WAS TWO WEEKS AGO. They are definitely in the office.... I see them in there just about everyday so they are choosing to ignore my email. After my car was stolen I was told by the leasing consultant (former) that there would be a upgrade in security, which was clearly A LIE! I do not in any way feel safe her and just want nothing but to leave this complex, keep in mind they want about three months of rent to do so. Save yourself the trouble!

We are disappointed to see your time at our community has not resulted in a higher rating and we would love the opportunity to improve your experience here. If you have any specific concerns you would like to discuss with us in greater detail, please give the office a call or stop by. Thank you.
I really fell in love with this complex the first few months we were living here but the constant lack of communication, safety and security breaches are scary to say the least. We had homeless people living in our apartment complex and junkies in the laundry room, the water would shut off for hours with no notice & the staff was super unhelpful with anything maintenance wise. I’ve lived in a few over places and yes, the prices are great here but be prepared for your email and info to be posted on messages with strangers, and don’t ever rely on your utilities because they may be shut off for hours on end.
Property Manager at 3300 Tamarac Apartments, Responded To This Review
We apologize that your experience at our community has fallen short of our high standards. Please know, water is only shut off when necessary maintenance or repairs are being performed. We do our best to inform all residents of a planned shut-off so that they can adjust their schedules accordingly. However, in some instances, emergency situations may arise that prevent us from doing so. We are sorry for any inconvenience this caused. This is a well managed property that has a great staff and leasing center. I would consider moving back if I was going to live in the area.

Huge complex maybe a dozen buildings that are 3 or 4 stories. It really depends on which building you are in. I was in building H in a 2 Bedroom apartment. My building was O.K, luckily never had to call maintenance. There was one building that had problems with their water, and it was shut off several times so they could fix it. Sorry don't remember which building. I lived there one year 2015-2016. It was quiet, no bugs. I left just when new management took over. The people in the leasing office who had been there for several years left. The Dog park was in sad shape then, I don't know about now. I didn't like the new tiered rent system. Depending on how early you renewed your lease you got a different rate. Also didn't like that you had to give 60 days notice instead of 30 days. I liked the option of paying rent online. Covered parking was cheap only $10 more than uncovered, but I know they made changes.
This is the best part of town for being able to walk to many places, including light rail, but the managment company is terrible. There is typically one or two pools that is never operational for the entire summer. The people that work in the office are rude and unfriendly. The grounds look terrible, except for the long standing vegetation. The office staff makes mistakes regularly. They leave the heat on very high when the weather is warm, and the utility bills are horrendous. They don't do anything at all about parking violators. Not their fault, but the water main broke in front of the complex and there is going to be another year of construction on that road.
This is not even a 2 star property. I should have known from the beginning when we had to deal with THREE different leasing agents for our apartment and making sure everything was good to go for our move in date. The first day we got in our garbage disposal did not work. Our drawers in the kitchen were broken. Our closet door and hall closet door were broken. It was not even 2 months that we were living there when our bedroom flooded. OUR WHOLE ROOM FLOODED. Was the management apologetic and empathetic? NO. The leasing agent was so incredibly rude to me and said that he had other things to deal with like moving their office. WE had to pay for the electric bill for the fans running 24/7 for 4 days straight to "dry" our carpet. As if this wasn't bad enough this happened, no lie, 4 TIMES THAT SUMMER. Completely flooded every time. Did the management care? No. Did they ask if we wanted to move apartments so we weren't having to sleep on our couch? No. The management will just walk in randomly into your apartment to check out something without your consent. The dog park always has huge holes. There is always smashed glass in the parking lot and people yelling, driving fast, etc. The blinds fall out and the screen door falls off. The toilet seats fall off and there's lots of bugs. We are finally out and I could not be happier. They will drain you until the very last minute.
This community used to be managed by Aimco. It was nice. The leasing agents were friendly. The maintenance staff was professional and efficient. Now, the community is managed by AMC. I will never again rent in a community that is managed by AMC. These are some of the worst people I have ever had to work with. They lie to your face about policies, informing you of changes, or scheduling maintenance. We are frequently given less than 24 hours notice before they enter your apartment. I once came home to a construction crew on my balcony. They removed the railing and left it off overnight. When I called the office to complain no one bothered to answer the phone or call me back regarding the gross miscommunication. There was no apology, just excuses that it wasn't their responsibility to inform us of the work that was to be done. Over the summer, the fountain in the pond was not functioning. It hadn't been working for months and mosquitoes were starting to become a problem. When I spoke to management about having maintenance fix the issue, Holly, the property manager, who had been working on the property all of 6 months, insisted to me, a tenant who has lived in the same unit for 4 years, that the fountain never existed. I was told that the mechanism in the middle of the pond was just a "base for a fountain". I asked if Aimco took the fountain with them when they left. Lo and behold, a week later the fountain miraculously became functional again. And, my neighbors. I've got downstairs neighbors who argue so loud and often I wonder when the cops will be called next. I'm not sure exactly where they are, but there is an apartment dweller who insists on having a party beginning at 10pm every Tuesday night. They are, suspiciously, quite on Saturdays. We no longer have to deal with a panty thief from the laundry- or, at least, I assume so since I have not seen ladies underwear thrown all over the foyer in a while. Usually, you can't blame the management office for what the neighbors do, but, in this case, I'm placing the blame solely on them. I remember being screened before I moved in. I also remember being told all the property rules in a manner that reminded me that I live near other people. Now, I live in a dorm. I could go on and on about how terrible of an idea it would be for anyone to choose this property. Spend a little more money on a nicer place. It'll be worth it. The 'cheep' factor here....don't buy it. They will find a way to make you pay.
The management here is horrible. In the eyes of the office, you are lucky to live here, it is their place so be grateful to them. They do not make it feel like home. Any problems come up, please be prepared to deal with it yourself. Do not just drop off rent checks. Make copies and ask for someone from the office to sign to insure your check was received. Get absolutely everything is righting with signatures of whoever you spoke with. Do not trust the word of just one person in the office, double & triple check with everyone there to insure the information is correct. They will tell you whatever sounds good at the moment and when it comes time they will not deliver on their word. Go in with a strong back bone and be prepared to stick up for yourself. The office staff will try to walk all over you. The apartment itself is beautiful. There is a bunch of remodeling done on the outside, with gorgeous views and Bible Park just minutes walking distance. Although that does not outweigh the issues you will have to deal with living here. Best of luck.
I love my apartment so much. I'm 18 and its a great fit for me but I'm hoping I can stay there. With me only being 18 it is a struggle but I would do anything to keep this nice home of mine. I haven't had many places to call a good home but to me this is home for good. The neighbors are just do nice and friendly and I hope to meet even more in my apartments.
When we first moved into our current unit six years ago we enjoyed the spacious green yards between the complexes, the well kept up ponds, the showers and the sauna in the restrooms of the 24 hour access fitness area, the tennis court and playground. Six years later: The apartment complex has been sold at least once. AMC shut down the leasing center and fitness area for months on end, they've removed the tennis courts entirely, as well as the sauna and showers in the fitness area. And since there's no one at the leasing office on Sundays or after 6pm, access to the fitness area is hard to get. The key cards the previous company sold to us to allow 24hr access to the fitness room and laundry card vending machines no longer work—management says they will work again when they get security cameras installed. Elevators stop working frequently. This matters to disabled people living on the upper floors. The laundry machines break quite a lot and are often faux-repaired. Make sure you get money on your laundry cards while access to the vending machines is available, ie: not at all on Sundays. Most of the leasing staff are polite but unable to help when issues arise. The emergency number listed rings to voicemail, which can be a problem when the fire marshall is trying to tell the building management that an apartment unit was on fire, The maintenance staff are all very polite, but must often outsource major repairs to third party contractors, We are still waiting for a major issue to be repaired/replaced for at least 4 weeks now, and despite repeated assurances that they are sending someone out...we're still waiting. The 69 page lease contract firmly puts all liabilities on the renters, including asbestos and mold warnings where the property managers assert almost no liability to the renter in the contract. It does not help the appeal of this place. Good things about the complex: It's in a wonderful area of the city, with quick access to DTC and plenty of shopping right nearby, with the beautiful Bible Park just down the road. Access to RTD literally stops right out front, and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. Most neighbors in the apartment complex are pleasantly wonderful folks, and noise in the area is not bad. The pools are nice and easy to get to and the new lounge does look pretty.
Visited the complex, three people in the management office, only one was nice enough to say hi, the other two did not even look up or even bothered to greet customers. Heard one of the managers on the phone with someone, she was talking extremely rude. So went on a very nice tour, where the lady was trying to talk up the place and everything seemed great. However, the apartment she had shown looked smaller than she had described. But the final straw was that they charge residents to park $10 a month per car to park on the parking, not covered parking (covered parking is going to be $25 a month per car). On top of an extremely high rent expect to pay up to $100 for utilities and then $10 a month per car, soon they will probably start charging residents to walk on the apartment complex grounds. And I see that they did not mention their parking charges on apartments.com here. It seemed they were charging for outside image of the complex rather than a comfortable living.
The investors that just bought this complex just spent some money on superficial renovation work: paint, carpet in stairwells, landscaping and new work out equipment in clubhouse and updated office, new coating on the parking lot, new furniture at the pools, new drainage because this place floods on the ground floor whenever it rains & they were forced to by inspectors. They promised new thermal windows and doors (what is here now is circa 1960), a movie theatre, a lot of computers, DIDN'T HAPPEN, repairs were needed to carports, DIDN'T HAPPEN, took out all sauna, steam rooms, and showers. Oh, but you could run out front and rinse off in the water feature sign. Most of all the work done was really poor quality. They get you in on a lease(40-50 pages!! they hold NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING and will nickel & dime you for everything they can dream up) and, unfortunately, once you are a resident you mean nothing but a rent check to them. They will do no improvements of any kind to occupied apts. It takes forever to get any maintenance work done and you usually have to call and nag them to get it done and the quality is questionable unless the work was done by Ben F. Now that all of the work has been done we have no lights in the parking lots at night (safety issue). They have no security patrol, they tell you to watch out for yourself and call 911. The management company AMC LLC has a really poor rating with the BBB based in Utah. You'll see why! Really sad. But wait..........the property is going up for sale AGAIN (yes, they just flipped it) and maybe a new buyer will bring in a new management company!! Some of the greatest people have lived here and worked here in the past, most of which they have scared off with increases on everything, screw ups and just poor quality management. If you want high quality you need to bring it in yourself. But it's the last semi-affordable apt. in the area. They can't wait to get your money but lower your expectations, a lot, and you'll be just fine. Just some warnings it would be nice to know BEFORE you lease here. Come with a strong back bone and guts to stand up for what you need and want. And NEVER just drop your rent check off, copy it & have a leasing agent initial it so you have proof. The location offers easy access to I-25 & I-225, bus lines & park-n-ride, shopping, restaurants, parks and they allow your pets. You can help them learn to respect and be grateful for their tenants. Good Luck
Have had nothing but problems with Tamarac Village from the start 3300 S. Tamarac Dr. My apartment was supposed to have been "renovated" however the work that was completed was so poorly done it took them over a year to fix all the mistakes. I still have a slanted counter top which makes cooking difficult as any liquid on the counter runs then off onto the floor. Holly the manager has a very poor attitude, has difficulty keeping eye contact, and only is concerned about herself. The office staff rotates weekly so whoever is in the leasing office this week will be gone next week. Avoid this apartment complex like the plague! I put problems like this only in my rear view mirror.
Here's what you get with a "renovated" apartment: No appliances for over a week after you move in. Closet collapses three times and told lucky the drywall did not come down with it too. Water leaks under the sinks. You get to clean the tub and bathroom sink drain so the water will actually flow-have fun digging out of the drain all the former tenants' filthy hair and soap muck so the water will go down. A loose toilet seat. A fan that does not work. The valve goes out on the heater. The thermostat goes out. The lights burn out. The valances fall off the window blinds and hit you in the head. Hey, at least the ceiling did not collapse like other residents have experienced. You pay for a parking place so your vehicle can be vandalized. They provide weak lighting and low security and invite crime. No amenities - no washer-dryer or fireplace in the unit. Lots of noise from the residents because there is no security to monitor it and nobody to call but the police. Elevator down for several months. Washers and dryers in the laundry room more often than not do NOT work but the laundry cards eat your money and you get no washing or drying done or drag it out of the dryers damp dry and have to hang it over the tub with the happy memory that YOU were the one that dug the past residents' hair and soap out of the drain. They violate code laws and now they are drilling the asbestos out of the walls with no warning and exposing us all to asbestos. They over-water the over-mowed lawns and you have no control over any utilities except electricity. That means they charge anything and everything they want to the tenants no matter how high they want the bill - yes, it is like communism - if you use no water or heat hardly - you will pay for the people who take showers five times a day and crank their heat up to the 80s in the wintertime. The leasing office commits fraud and then the maintenance is never available to take care of things timely if at all. There are holes in all closet doors-the closet doors fall down on you and hardware in the bathroom - especially the knobs on the tub - are around 40 years old -no hot and cold-about to break off from age. You also get the old kitchen cabinets that have dirt in the wood grain and the varnish has worn off but the leasing office throws in the former tenant's old groceries-they never clean out the cupboards. Might or might not get a decent view-they breach the lease and refuse to arbitrate-another breach!
I haven't had many problems since moving here 6 months ago but I can tell you that maintenence is slow to come fix any issues. I don't believe that it's the fault of maintenance, I see them working constantly, si I'm guessing the property is to cheap to hire enough workers to get the jobs done in a timely manner. On the positive side, it's quiet, scenic, and very pet friendly.
the complex is great, our apartment had ants and they said it would take two weeks to get someone out. We ended up doing it ourselves. But love the set up and location.
Tamarac Village might be more affordable than some other places, but there is a reason for that. The buildings are old and falling apart. The management is also terrible. Dont expect anything to be done in a timely manner or even at all in fact. I have had issues with many, many things in my apt that management literally "promised" me that it would be done within the next few days and I have not heard back from them in months. No matter how many times you bug them, they just do not care. The only saving grace that this place has is that it is located near some nice shopping centers and restaurants. PS. Dont let them fool you into thinking that their renovated apartments are new and worth your money. The upgrades are minimal and the apartments still have piping and building issues.
We've lived at Tamarac Village for several years now. When we first moved in, we absolutely loved it. There were a few community guidelines that seemed restrictive (like no charcoal grills) but it wasn't anything that really bothered us at all. during the course of our time here, the management company has changed several times, and gets worse with each change. Signing a new lease with these people now feels like a trap. If you need to move out for any reason before your lease is complete, not only do you have to pay a huge buyout amount ($1500 for us), but you then owe them any "discounts" they feel they've given you ($650 for us) as well as an 'early vacate fee' (ANOTHER $1500 for us). Basically put, once you sign a lease with these people, you can expect to pay all of it, no matter what, they will get that money from you.
