Higher education and a rich history define the area of Downtown New Haven. This neighborhood centers around nine original squares from the 1600s, as well as the collegiate Ivy League institution that is Yale University.
Along with Yale’s campus, much of the community is made up of the New Haven Green and the commercial district. Downtown New Haven’s strong community presence is evident with its many restaurants, entertainment venues, and nightlife – especially on Chapel Street.
As urban as this neighborhood is, it’s also one of the most residential downtowns in the nation. The Shops at Yale is in walking distance of Yale’s Old Campus, and includes a variety of boutiques, salons, and eateries.
Locals enjoy the area’s museums and theaters, like the university’s Art Gallery and Shubert Theater. Students and locals enjoy their Downtown New Haven homes and apartments, which are close by to the train station, Interstate 91, and Interstate 95.

I was in a 2b/2b unit with another roommate, after the lease ended, while I was giving the keys, I emphasized that the check should be split between us. and the manager also said they will do that. they gave all of the deposit check to my roommate!! now my roommate is not responding, and neither the 360 irresponsible management! I lost all of my deposit because they don't care and they don't respond to anything.

360 is by far the best apartment building in New Haven. I have lived here for almost six years and it’s been perfect. The location is ideal. We are very close to the restaurants downtown and close to the Yale campus. State street station is across the street (to go to Hartford and Bradley airport) and Union station is a 10min walk away. 360 has a supermarket in the building and excellent and newly renovated amenities including a state of the art gym and a large terrace that’s perfect for walks or to sit and enjoy the sunset in the evening. The management, leasing office, concierge and maintenance team are all incredibly helpful, friendly and professional. The building also offers free yoga classes and many other events for residents.

Living at 360 State Street in New Haven has been far and away the worst decision I have ever made in terms of living arrangements. The building is unkempt. Every few days they take out the garbage and the entire first floor reeks of garbage. They overcharge for parking. The amenities are also very low quality and overpriced. The images on the website are not representative of what you are getting - everything is antiquated and they do nothing to repair or refurnish any of the common areas. The old management totally sabotaged every aspect of living at the property and the new owners overpaid, so management thought it would be reasonable to increase rent across the board for tenants by 30%. When I signed my lease, the old management team promised a one-time payment for amenities that would last until I left the building. The new management team decided to instead make this a new recurring monthly payment. The area is disgusting and it is very unsafe to walk around the building. If you have a dog, do not walk it around the block because there is glass and needles all over the sidewalks. They also never change the "potty rocks" in the front of the building, so who knows what kind of parasites your dog will contract if you walk it there. Seriously, do yourself a favor and check out any other apartment complex in New Haven. This place is a dump, no one lives here anymore, they can't attract anyone new, and their lack of revenue is being manifest in horrible living conditions. When I move out, I will be reporting them to the city.

Don't rent here. The building was recently sold to a new owner, who paid $45 million over assessed value, and is trying to make tenants pay for it. In a report in the New Haven Independent, he said “Our rents are going to stay where they are,” Friedman said". HA! Only for tenants with current leases that they can't legally change. They are raising rents for current tenants who want to renew (some having lived here since 2010), by more than 30%, and for new leases by almost 50% more than what they were two months ago. This company is from NY and is charging rates better suited for Manhattan. I've lived here for years and the apartments are fine, but NOWHERE NEAR worth the new prices. They're plaster boxes with bad insulation, IKEA cabinets, and plastic flooring. Many of the current tenants and staff are leaving. Do yourself a favor and look at the newer, nicer, and more reasonably priced buildings in the city. Stay far away from 360 State.
Absolutely the best place to stay in New Haven. Proper amenities, maintained constantly throughout the day. Friendly concierge staff who are responsive and helpful. Management office maintain good communication during covid, and offer great games and activities to engage residents. location is ideal, close to restaurants and bars, colleges and train station to NYC across the street. Grocery store in the building and parking is convenient. Will not be disappointed. And the south view is great
