Third floor of one of albanys historic center square buildings. From the moment you walk in through the two sets of tall double doors, you'll notice that something seems a little off. The walls and such all seem a bit "new" compared to everything else. Although this may take some time to notice, but I do have a gut feeling that this entire building was a single family home at once. During my visit through others apartments, I've noticed they all have different layouts. Some have larger living rooms, smaller bed rooms,etc. Since we are on the third floor, we aren't constricted by the stairway, so our living room is humongous. My bedroom is the largest I've ever had. The kitchen has a nice brick wall all throughout. The second room is a bit small but has a great view of the city's largest buildings, the corning tower and such. The few downfalls this apartment is that mostly all the floors are severely crooked, the windows don't have screens and are super old so wind can blow right through them in the winter months. The apartment does come with a beautiful back yard and deck. All of which need to be maintained constantly. The handy man, doesn't seem so handy. The deck is large, but is in dire need of some scrubbing. A washer and dryer is on premises, but charges 1.50 for a was hand 1 for dry. I'm still in the middle of figuring out if going up and down 3 flights of stairs for laundry is a convenience compared to going down the street to sit at a laundromat. All in all we got this large apartment for 875, nothing included, which is expected in this area. But it is definitely the better of the other apartments. Much much larger in several aspects.
