Historically one of the economic and cultural powerhouses of the Midwest, Detroit is full of people who are working towards redevelopment and revitalization. Known as the origin of the automobile industry, the Motor City is moving towards a future of economic opportunity with roots far beyond the world of cars. The cost of living is low while rental rates for apartments, condos, and houses are highly attractive for any budget.
Monuments paying tribute to Detroit’s rich history are everywhere while astonishing architecture and public artwork is scattered throughout the city. As the birthplace of Motown, Detroit has a long tradition of producing legendary musicians like Diana Ross and Stevie Wonder. This tradition continues today and it’s easy to find live performances from every genre.
The city is a great destination for sports lovers as one of the few American cities with major leagues in football, baseball, basketball, and hockey.

Property Ratings at 40 Hague
I have definitely enjoyed getting settled into the community. Maintenance has been great and all situations have been rectified quickly.
Property Manager at 40 Hague, Responded To This Review
Thank you so much! We are very happy that you are enjoying the 40 Hague community and that you are part of it!
I’ve been trying to get ahold of the agent for about 6 weeks now to view an apartment. Finally managed to schedule a viewing and Lo and behold! They did not show up. It looks like the building is nowhere near fully occupied and they keep swapping out the unit listings for each other frequently when there is no way there’s that much turnover. The building is in a good location but trash out front and the No-show of agent made me think it is not well-managed. Basically, they are just plain sketch.
Property Manager at 40 Hague, Responded To This Review
So sorry you had this experience. 40 Hague has decided to have in house management. We have a maintnence team onsite 3-5 days a week with an emergency call plan in place. We love this little community and strive to make it better everyday.
For this to be a old building, problem will accur but this management is never reachable, not on site and will blatantly ghost you. My ceiling leaked for 2 weeks during the spring thunderstorms and they closed out my maintenance issue without notifying me just so they can say it was completed in 12 hours and not compensate. Kelcey change her number all the time and don't update the residents I had to get the number from a new tenant moving in. My last straw was the fire alarm going off in the hallway for 6 days after a fire on the 2nd floor and Kelcey ACTING like she didn't know anything about it even though I talked to the maintenance and texted her and her assist. Once again, no compensate even though I could not sleep 2 of those nights it went off all night long from 11pm till I went to work the next more. ESSENTIAL is not bueno. I have a laundry list of problem but all of this was just from June
