About This Home
A charming and antique space is available in a beautiful house with a lot of history. The home was built in 1909 and has original woodwork, hardwood floors, and fireplace. This is a great option if you want to be close to Yale but you'd prefer to avoid the noise and crime of downtown, and would like to stay somewhere roomier than a tiny apartment. There is a large kitchen and fenced-in backyard for you to enjoy as well! There are 2 bedrooms available, one has a king-sized bed and the other a queen. Both are large, well-lit, and very comfy. The price listed is for one of the bedrooms. Monthly price includes cleaning of all shared spaces and all utilities (heat/electric/water/high-speed fiber wifi). Well-behaved pets are welcome. Included with your stay: - Pillows, blankets, and towels included (plus extras of all) - Wifi connection: high-speed (fiber) wifi - Keurig machine for coffee and tea - Hair Dryer - Cooking basics (spices, butter, oil, etc.) - Cooking utensils, pots & pans, etc. - Personal space heater in case you get cold - Personal fan in case you get hot (in addition to AC) - Desk or armchair - Board games to borrow - Use of living room with TV and couches - Need anything else? Just ask! I accept leases as short as 3 months and as long as a year. I am very flexible.

Named after the abundance of beavers in natural areas, Beaver Hills is a historic neighborhood about two miles north of Downtown New Haven. This quaint neighborhood is home to part of the Southern Connecticut State University campus and the Beaver Hills History District, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. The neighborhood is best known for its beautiful Tudor Revival single-family houses, but there are also moderately priced to upscale townhomes and apartments available for rent as well.
With several parks and canopy roads, the natural beauty of the landscape gives the neighborhood a pastoral feel, attracting New Haven renters who want a taste of the country while remaining within a 10-minute drive of downtown. Along Whalley Avenue, there are multiple grocers, stores, and restaurants so residents don’t always have to go into downtown to get what they need, although they certainly appreciate the proximity to the heart of the city.
