Property Ratings at 410 Eastern Parkway
Do not rent from 410 Eastern Parkway. What a disaster the building and management are in this place. -No hear during the biggest snowstorm. Took TWO weeks to fix. - Hot water only getting to 90 degrees (should be 120). I called 311 and management finally did something to make it hotter for a day or two so I called off the the 311 inspection. But then, not surprisingly, the temperature came right back down. - When there is a leak in the ceiling of the bathroom, they ripped open the ceiling and used duck tape and garbage bags to patch the giant hole while they looked for the leak for 3 days. When I was cleaning up the mess from the hole, guess what happened to that duct tape on a wet wall? It ripped off and about a gallon of gross water dumped directly on me. I can see my upstairs unit, and cant stay here because I can’t access the bathroom. When talking to Judy, the main contact, the best she says is “sorry for the inconvience” - There are rat traps in the basement. So if you go down and do your laundry and a rat happened to be caught, that’s what you’d get to look at - There are roaches - The front door to the building is constantly broken and extremely heavy - The elevators are out of service at least once a month. - If you live in the front part of be building, you can hear EVERYTHING from the foyer. - The management company, while somewhat responsive, does not do anything to reconcile big issues. I.e I can’t live in my apartment, I shouldn’t have to pay. In addition, you have to take so much time to work from home to give them access to the unit to fix everything? This landlord is charging a ridiculous rent for a building that needs a lot of fixed before units should be lived in. There are plenty of better apartments, with better management for cheaper.
This building has all the things you'd wish: close to a major subway station, elevators, laundry in the building. But the managment sucks so they don't keep the laundry room clean and they don't take care of repairs in a timely fashion.
