Allegheny Hills Retirement Residence is located in southern Clarion County along the Allegheny River. We are located in the small pleasant town of East Brady surrounded by countryside; a reprieve for those looking for the quiet life. We are a HUD-subsidized, Section 8, low-income building with a superior rating from the Real Estate Assessment Center. At the present time we have no waiting list, and have several one-bedroom apartments, currently available. Rent is based solely on household monthly income. Our clean, modern apartments include electric, water, trash, appliances, garbage disposal and air conditioning. The building includes a covered deck, porch, patio, community room, dining room, craft studio, library/computer room, hair salon, laundry facilities, greenhouse, controlled access security and 24 hour maintenance. Though not everyone will need such assistance, we have a Service Coordinator on site ready to aid in managing official paperwork, setting appointments, and arranging transportation to medical appointments and shopping outings for residents who do not drive. We offer many activities, and we have an active residents’ council that plans many of their own events. At equal distances from each of three major towns, we provide weekly outings for grocery shopping, and regular trips for other shopping and events in the greater area. In town, we are conveniently located by restaurants offering delivery services. We have assigned, off-street parking for residents with a vehicle.
