This apartment also includes a high-capacity washer and dryer and a dishwasher for your convenience. For outdoor enjoyment, one of the unit’s two private entrances opens onto a private outdoor area with seating for two. This home includes high-quality linens, luxury bath products, an iron, ironing board, laundry basket, laundry detergent pods, dishwasher detergent pods, dish soap, toaster, tea kettle, coffee maker, sink garbage disposal, compost bin (outside), and electric vehicle charger in the back driveway. The kitchen is fully stocked with dinnerware, cookware, servingware, utensils, spices, tea, coffee, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and basic cleaning supplies. There are extra dining chairs and two portable camping chairs stored in the large closet leading upstairs. There are two umbrellas, a yoga mat, and a picnic blanket at the back entrance. One cat or one small dog (under 25 pounds) is allowed with a pet fee of $75 per pet, per week. Upon advanced request, baby or toddler items such as a travel crib with sheet, high chair, books, and toys are available at no charge. The home has a Level 2 electric vehicle charger installed in the back driveway, available for a weekly fee of $20. Directly behind the home is Crispus Attucks Park, a community-owned and managed park known as “Bloomingdale’s Secret Garden” because it is hidden back from the streets. The park offers year-round activities such as outdoor film nights, yoga classes, community days, and dog costume contests. The apartment is a short walk from Bloomingdale's best restaurants and bars, including DC's famous Red Hen Restaurant, Big Bear Cafe, and Boundary Stone. There is a farmer’s market every Sunday and a wonderful yoga studio, Yoga District, a few blocks away. The Northwest quadrant of Washington, D.C. is known for its diverse communities, historic landmarks, and a mix of commercial, residential, and cultural offerings, making it a sought-after place to live, visit, and explore in the nation's capital. The apartment is very walkable, with most errands easily accomplished on foot. The Shaw Metro Station (Green line) is a 15-minute walk, and the Rhode Island - Ave/Brentwood Metro Station (Red line) is a 20-minute walk. The G8 bus downtown to Farragut North is directly across the park on Rhode Island Ave and North Capitol St. There is a Capital Bikeshare station a 3-minute walk away, and electric scooters and e-bikes are frequently available in the park and nearby streets. There is an abundance of free street parking out front. Smoking of any kind is not permitted anywhere in the interior of the building or within fifty feet of the building, including outdoor spaces. A $500 smoking fee will be charged for violations. Parties and events are strictly prohibited. Noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending your stay and are strictly enforced. The home is equipped with security cameras that record the exterior and all entries to the building. This English basement is below a family with a dog, so there may be some noise during the day. The compost bin is for organic material only, and there is a recycling bin behind the garbage bin. The home limits the number of guests to 2 adults, 1 child, and 1 cat or dog. Neighborhood

Roughly two miles north of the eastern end of the National Mall, Bloomingdale is a small neighborhood of about 12 blocks. It extends from Channing Street south to Florida Avenue, on the southeast side of Howard University. Bloomingdale is literally picture-perfect -- it was even featured in the opening credits of the Netflix series, House of Cards. The colorful brownstones with turrets aren't all people love about this popular neighborhood. It is the location of Crispus Attucks Park, a popular green space with terrific views.

Bloomingdale contains two commercial districts. The first, along Rhode Island Avenue, is packed with bars and restaurants -- including popular favorites the Red Hen and Bacio Pizzeria. Florida Avenue and North Capitol Street also offer restaurants, bars, and a few other businesses. While Bloomingdale doesn't have its own Metro station, bus stops are scattered throughout the neighborhood, taking residents quickly to nearby stops or into downtown DC.
