Property Ratings at 50 Jones
Went 3 months without carpet and nobody cared. They would not compensate me in any way. Didn’t even get an apology. A lot of people say we upgraded management haven’t seen much of a difference but if we did we downgraded Security for sure. They might dress more professional, but by all means they’re not. I’d rather talk to each other than to let you in when they know you live there. Amenities never work. The neighborhood is very, very poor. Do not recommend at all, especially if you have children. Rent is overpriced too and you gotta pay an additional 400 for parking. With the rent we pay parking should be included. Even when you do pay for Parking it’s not secure, homeless people run in the garage and the building all the time. Bikes, getting broken into, bikes getting stolen.
Very poor communication. I was over charged late fee for no reason $50 for January and February. I have sent email to request for investigation. No one care to call me back.
Management allowed my ex partner into the building without authorization and maintenance actually opened the door to my apartment around 2/3am to allow him to enter unannounced and unaware.. woke up to him pulling me out of the bed by my hair.. they allowed and actually gave him access to my apartment 4 times. Im not feeling at all secure or to say this is a safe place, I will never be able to call this place ‘home’ Other than this, it’s a really beautiful building and I do really enjoy the apartment for all it is.
I love the 50 jones building and I love the staff the apartment are spacey and ambience is perfect You are pet friendly and the roof top view of the city is the perfect place to wind down
This place. Poor management, broken amenities and bad neighborhood. Positive: it’s still standing? Barely I would recommend moving to someplace they may actually care about their tenants
Very impressed with the overall setup and service provided by the leasing agent and the full tour they gave also how friendly the residents are
Very quick response and cooperate management. It was very easy and smooth to go through all the process of leasing. People who give me tour was really nice too.
poor management, broken amenities, spent three months without carpet and no urgency to fix anything
Initially this was a great place aside from the neighborhood, the staff was great, community friendly, clean, and mutual respectful by all I encountered and a safe place to live in spite of what was awaiting outside on the sidewalk (drug activities, homelessness, & mental health run rampant in this neighborhood). Then slowly with staff changes, incidents inclusive of crime and assault in the building itself, then neighbors began moving and it no longer felt friendly alluring nor safe. I stay in my apartment now because the community has changed so drastically!! My lease ends in March and I’m eager to move! If I could take the building with me to another neighborhood and the screening process for residency was improved, it would be ideal!!
It was very bad experience, I will advise all my friends not to apply for leasing at 50 Jones because what I faced in this building it’s very bad management
Long time Tenderloin Resident. I appreciate being a Resident here as I'm very familiar with the surroundings. Like the building layout also. I'm still adjusting to the online navigation process
So far so good. Just moved in. A few bumps in the road because of a staffing shortage, but ultimately the staff is kind and helpful and made the move in easy for us. Thank you
Honestly, i used to love living here. Such a modern apartment with friendly staff, but since last year, everything about this place has gone down even more so in 2024. The theft alone is a deterant to staying here. I have consistently had my packages and groceries stolen so many times i honestly lost count. The staff is not helpful in retrieving the items. Ideas that i have given them to install cameras have not been considered. I absolutely have no desire to live here anymore. After this year, i am moving out.
The move was super easy, and the building staff was really helpful. Everything went smoothly, and the materials they gave us were really useful.

Overall I'm still enjoying living here. Good location which is close to the muni station, good utilities and good staff. Some small things to improve: safety issues, I found there are authoritized people in the building; noise reduction, some neighbours are playing very loud music; pets behaviors, some dogs are barking day and night.

parts of the building are great! biggest issue is really the dog waste problem. it’s annoying to pay almost $2000 a month to walk out to a courtyard that smells like urine

I love living here...very clean and safe place to live. Residence and staff are amazing. I have been here for over a year and im enjoying every minute of it!
Great apartment. Bad location. Good for a single guy. Should be a bit cheaper. Realistically, it was a good stay. No real or major problems. sketchy people live here but thats okay. Good gym. Needs a bench.
Bad neighborhood lots of shootings. Poorly ran Would definitely recommend someone going somewhere else Fire pits don’t work, lots of fires in the building.
Megusta mucho la atencion y la limpiesa del edificio todas las áreas del edificio están limpias organizandas y con un fácil acceso a ellas, el lugar es comodo
Surprisingly nice for location in San Francisco as the building doesn’t bring the out side environment inside to 50jones street…safe and unique
Very modern apartment. It was hard to rent an apartment in the beginning due to lack of communication from leasing department. The area isn't great, but the apartment itself makes up for it.
Great living and good vibes I love it the community is lovable and I enjoy all the amenities that comes with the community and apartments thank you
i love living here. it is so convenient for the multiple jobs I have. I feel pretty safe inside. Even though the neighborhood could use some improving.
Long time resident of the area. Love the layout and building seems laid back. Residents aren't afraid to greet you and easy access for vendors
Love the staff, even if I didn’t have appointment, they would make it a point to talk to me about concerns or anything that I needed to talk about I love May. She’s awesome. Isaiah is awesome even though he’s leaving. We still miss him and love him. He was a great leasing office manager.
Good location. Nice facilities. Nice people. Pet friendly which is import to me. Would like to recommend this place to a friend and more. Thank you
Great place to live . Everything you need you have in your apartment . The Bart and muni are 1 block from to get anywhere you want . 5 stars all the way
We are so happy living here at 50 Jones. I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful and attentive the staff are here. I feel safe, considered, and love the community here.
The building is getting worst by the month. Security is none existent. New people moving are getting worst. At this point everyone can move in. Not to mention the environment outside the building. Can’t wait until my lease is up.
50 Jones has given us the opportunity to get out of a homeless situation by working with a third party organization that assists with rent payments. Many places in San Francisco won't with third parties. 50 Jones has great facilities and professional staff that are willing to help you through all the steps of getting into your rental. Thank you for giving us a place to call home.
love it!!! I have a million dollar view facing north top floor no one above. it's the quietest place i have ever lived. such nice people. close to everything.
This building is awesome. Living in the city for 15 years could not be happier with 50 Jones. The staff is amazing and so helpful. They really try to create such a wonderful living experience here at 50 Jones! The amenities are fantastic, and it’s walking distance to everything. Shopping, restaurants, entertainment. What a great time to be in an up and coming neighborhood!
I lived here for 2 years, yes, I made the mistake of signing a 24-month lease right away but how could I not, the covid deals were too good to pass by....and that should have been a red flag. Let's start with the neighborhood: THE TENDERLOIN No matter how well their marketing videos are on the website and on IG, the reality is that you still live in the TL, one of the most unsafe locations in the city. Every time you step out, you will wonder if you will get attacked by anyone from the area or worse, get shot. In the two years that I lived there, the number of shootings that happened due to rival drug dealers or drug deals gone wrong, can no longer be counted in two hands. Yes, drug dealers hang outside 50 Jones all the time. One of the bullets, even went through to one of our neighbors window/apartment. And 50 Jones management could not be bothered to give their tenants a piece of mind/security. But we have 24/7 security, right? Well yes, for show. But they don't help with much. Packages go missing and neither security or management will do much to help. They allow questionable people into the building, including the drug dealers. Now let's move to 50 Jones Community/Management: Oh goodness, where to start. Well, if you want to lack of communication to any of your concerns/needs, well you found your new home. 50 Jones management was decent when Allison and Adonis were there, as soon as they left, well apparently so did the communication from anyone in that office. They will not respond to emails but when they do reply, it's only after multiple follow-ups on your end or finding someone in the office to help. Did your dishwasher or washer/dryer breakdown? Expect at least 3 weeks for anything to get fixed, and hope that they don't need a piece to replace it, because then you're doomed. No really, I was without a washer for weeks almost two-months. The dog jog is just a patch of turf that always smells rotten to the point that you want to vomit due to the smell - even if you tell them, they will do nothing to clean it right away. Let's not forget the amenities - that half of the time don't work such as the fire pits. Or the cracked walls and floors in the rooftop. Really, in 2 years they couldn't have been fixed or replaced? Think all of this is a lot? I didn't even get to half of the issues and headaches I dealt with during my time living here. There are so many other great buildings in the city that seriously, just look elsewhere.
It's the Tenderloin, so certain things are to be expected in the area (if you like every day shootings and police sirens all the time, then you'll love it here), but the bigger problem is with the people that live here. It's disgusting - dog poop and urine all over the common areas, and because of that and all the trash left inside, there are insects all over the place. No respect for quiet hours. Parties all night long.
I absolutely love living here. Friendly neighbors and community. The staff go above and beyond to help with anything and I really appreciate it! They hold fun community events, Happy Hour every Friday and Movie nights with free refreshments! There’s also pet of the month which is adorable! Management is always prompt to answer any questions and maintenance comes right away. I love the security in this place, they are so sweet. There is a resident entrance directly on Market St, which really helps and makes things super easy and convenient.
Oh Wow, my experience here at 50 Jones has been amazing and wonderful. We have an amazing gym room, a wonderful lounge area where any residents can relax, and the roof is phenomenal. The apartments are new and amazing in the inside! I'm extremely honored to have this opportunity to live in such an amazing apartment!
50 Jones is a good place to live, as you are just a 5 minute walk away from downtown. The lounge areas and all amenities enhances your living experience, and the staff are very friendly with good communication.
Excellent design, beautiful amenities
