I had high expectations based on the price and tour, but my experience was far from great. The management consistently changed, and it felt like the staff wasn’t attentive. I had to wait over two years true then to deal with an issue in my unit, even though the place wasn’t particularly busy. Additionally, the atmosphere is unwelcoming with the team, I’m really disappointed and recommend you do your research before moving in.

The hallway in front of the door always has an indescribable smell. It's not exactly bad, but it's unpleasant. Other than that, everything is great. Maintenance is efficient, and everyone is very friendly.

Just moved in on 8/10/2024. So far, so good. Did not see all of the perks of 500 Ocean Ave while on my tour, so I am still learning as I go. It’s pretty quiet for the most part, at least where my unit is located.

My partner and I have lived at 500 ocean for two years and it's been ok-- maintenance is exceptionally helpful and quick if anything in unit is ever broken. Things in common areas seem to take a while to be fixed and there's a major issue with people who do not live in the building using the building's amenities. That by far is the most annoying part of living at 500 ocean, along with the fact that the management company will definitely raise the rent with each lease-- it genuinely dissuades people from staying long term. Overall it's a decent building; living across the street from the beach is amazing and right next to the T is incredibly convenient, but it's a large building run by a giant corporation, so there are some issues that come along with those factors.

So far my experience has been great. The staff are easy to get a hold of and facilities are kept clean. The apartment’s noise levels are sufficiently low, making it a smooth experience for myself, as I work from home.

Awesome look and great team at 500 Ocean. The staff are awesome people and super friendly. But, there are a ton of broken bbq grills. I know it’s December, but only 1 of 9 grills working on the weekends kinda sucks. Get ‘em fixed Greystar! You shouldn’t need reviews to walk around and check if the grills are working before the weekends. Also, what’s up with the broken vending machine on the 8th floor and broken loaner items not getting fixed. Gotta keep up if you’re wanting to compete with new buildings and stop the tenant migration to newer and better priced buildings next-door.

Building itself, amenities and location are awesome-- management takes forever and a day to take action on requests and are not great at returning calls/emails, but are quick to send out rental payment reminders far in advance.

Hi there, I would like to get some more details about your experience with us.
New building with great modern features and covered parking. Location is also amazing being right on the beach and has lots of nice common spaces and restaurants attached to the building. If you use the T a lot the Wonderlands station is just a 2min walk from the building. Lots of people with dogs here so if that is not your thing this may not be the building for you.

I find that 500 Ocean Avenue is ideal for me after retiring and downsizing from a large house. It is well designed and affords a sense of space in a very small apartment.
If you like maintenance issues and non responsive management then this is the place for you.
Ocean 500 is the best designed building on Revere Beach. Ocean 500 provides everything anyone could ask for. Fancy restaurants, the beach, & easy transportation. Ocean 500s community is one of a kind with friendly neighbors & a well qualified staff that always says, just let us know if you need anything. I honestly don’t know who would want to miss out on Ocean 500.

I lived here for 13 months. It was great the first few months and then everything started going downhill… management is one of the worst I’ve ever seen.
