About This Home
This 1-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom property at 502 W North Ave offers a unique living space in the Historic Mexican War Streets. Pets are welcome. Free parking, in-unit washer/dryer, cool view of Allegheny Commons Park and the city skyline.
his award-winning, historic, and fully-renovated apartment in the Historic Mexican Wars Streets gives you a spacious feel, beautiful views of the Pittsburgh's city skyline and easy walkability to downtown, restaurants, museums and pubs. The semi-open apartment design is bathed with sunlight in any season. On the main floor, with 10-foot ceilings, an eat-in kitchen living space opens to a living room that overlooks Allegheny Commons Park. Your kitchen includes a self-cleaning oven with gas range, convection oven/microwave, dishwasher and disposal. The main floor powder room means guests won't be sharing your personal bathroom. Natural light is important to us, so the bedroom has three skylights and French style swing-in, tilt & turn Marvin thermal windows over a window seat to view the park and city skyline. The living room has large Marvin thermal windows. Real pine wood floors, ceramic and saltillo tiled bathrooms, ceiling fan and decorative wooden fireplace with tile surround are just some of the amenities. Features include a full-size LG washer & dryer in the unit, custom built-in shelving, pantry, walk-in closet and coat closet plus central heating and cooling you control. Off-street parking for one vehicle is included in the rear on Eloise Street(the alley). Rent is $1800/month with the tenant pays for gas and electric utilities and any optional internet or cable services. We prefer a 1-year or longer lease. Deposit is one-month rent. Pet deposit is $500 per approved pet. There is no additional rent charge for pets. We love our pets and welcome up to two approved cats or one small dog. Note, the dog park is across the street on the other side of Lake Elizabeth. Originally built in the 1860s we lovingly renovated it, and continue to improve it. There are two flights of stairs to walk up to your apartment with a view of the park and the city. The North Side is a fun zone. It's an easy walk to the nearby Monterey Pub, Alphabet City, a growing number of great brew-pubs and a winery and restaurants like Siempre Algo, Fig & Ash, and Central Galley. Close by you can walk to the Mattress Factory, the National Aviary, Pittsburgh Children's Museum, the Warhol Museum, PNC Park and Heinz Field. And, of course you can walk to work at Allegheny General Hospital, Nova Place or downtown Pittsburgh.

National publications constantly place Pittsburgh near the top of the list for most livable cities in America, and it’s easy to see why. The city has a rich history as an industrial and economic hub, which led to the construction of many grand buildings and public sculptures which still stand today. Downtown in particular is rich with beautifully preserved buildings and lush public parks dating back well over a century, giving the entire community a timeless atmosphere.
Pittsburgh is split into three sections by the rivers passing through the city: Downtown (a.k.a. “The Golden Triangle), the North Side, and the South Side. Each has its fair share of attractions and landmarks: the North Side is home to Acrisure Stadium and PNC Park (making it a perfect area for sports fans), the South Side features big, beautiful greenways and refurbished steel mills, and Downtown is where you’ll find the most variety in dining, nightlife, and entertainment.
