About This Home

12 Month Lease, $6,100 deposit, Available Jul 1

1500 square foot end-unit penthouse with outstanding views and a swimming pool -- a short walk from Capitol Hill restaurants, retail, entertainment, and transportation! Come home to a spacious penthouse with one of the best views in Seattle! From your 40-ft private balcony, large kitchen, dining room, and living room, enjoy breathtaking unobstructed views of sunsets and full moons over the mountains and Space Needle, the sparkling lights of Seattle, sea planes landing amidst sailboats on Lake Union, cruise ships, ferries and cargo ships plying the waters of Puget Sound, July 4th fireworks over Lake Union, and New Year's Eve fireworks and drone shows at the Space Needle. Your 1500 sq ft end unit offers 3 bedrooms with built-in shelves, desks, and wall bed and 2 full bathrooms. The en-suite bathroom off of the master bedroom has a heated floor, granite vanity, tiled walk-in shower, and an oversized tub. With an in-unit washer and dryer, you may never want to leave . . . except that the Lamplighter's private deck with landscaped gardens, gas grills, and an outdoor pool beckons you outside for sunbathing, barbecuing, and swimming. This midcentury modern condominium is on a tree-lined residential street, but just a few blocks from the vibrant shops, gyms, restaurants, bars, and cafes of Broadway Ave, and the quieter, yet still bustling, neighborhood restaurants and cafes on Summit Ave. QFC (grocery store and pharmacy), Sunday Farmers Market, Capitol Hill Light Rail Station, and several bus stops are nearby. There is easy access to I-5, downtown, South Lake Union, Amazon, and the UW. You can walk to several street festivals and outdoor movies at Cal Anderson Park. The property manager lives locally and is very familiar with the building and the unit. Neighborhood

Yes, it's called Capitol Hill -- but it isn't the capitol and there's no capitol building. So how did this Seattle neighborhood get its name? Back around 1900, a real estate developer renamed the burgeoning community from "Broadway Hill" to "Capitol Hill" because he wanted the capitol to be moved from Olympia to Seattle. That never happened, and the quirky neighborhood kept its new quirky name. Capitol Hill is the neighborhood for those who love nightlife. As Seattle's premier place to party, Capitol Hill is home to coffee houses, taverns, bars, nightclubs, and theaters.

Home to artists and musicians, Capitol Hill features a variety of festivals and events throughout the year, and it is home to the Capitol Hill Arts District. College students also find their way to the Hill, which is home to Seattle Central College and is just south of the University of Washington.
