About 524 Boylston Ave E Seattle, WA 98102

For more photos and to schedule a property tour, go to bit.ly/rentquinault The Quinault is a 1925 blond-brick structure and it has about it the aspect of a medieval castle and is an old world charm incarnate. The building derives its name from The Quinault, the Native American people who once roamed Western Washington and whose descendants now inhabit a reservation near Aberdeen. White stone columns shaped like twin turrets bracket the entryway. Lantern-like lights are anchored into the white stone, and they cast an amber glow at night. The top of the building's exterior is crenelated in parts, like the battlements of a castle. Inside, Aztec-style archways lead toward apartment units with hardwood floors, high ceilings, and metal radiators. There are 46 units in total, 44 are studios and there are 2 one bedroom/1 bath units. There are 5 paved parking spaces on the east side of the building. The building is located on Capitol Hill. The Broadway District, located a few blocks east, is the historic center of the neighborhood. The strip of about 10 blocks contains a mix of restaurants, small retail stores, gyms, grocery stores, pharmacies, Seattle Central Community College and other commercial services. N. Capitol Hill library is a block away. Link Light Rail is 4 blocks away. Bus lines within a block. Neighborhood

Yes, it's called Capitol Hill -- but it isn't the capitol and there's no capitol building. So how did this Seattle neighborhood get its name? Back around 1900, a real estate developer renamed the burgeoning community from "Broadway Hill" to "Capitol Hill" because he wanted the capitol to be moved from Olympia to Seattle. That never happened, and the quirky neighborhood kept its new quirky name. Capitol Hill is the neighborhood for those who love nightlife. As Seattle's premier place to party, Capitol Hill is home to coffee houses, taverns, bars, nightclubs, and theaters.

Home to artists and musicians, Capitol Hill features a variety of festivals and events throughout the year, and it is home to the Capitol Hill Arts District. College students also find their way to the Hill, which is home to Seattle Central College and is just south of the University of Washington.
