Property Ratings at 55 Fifty at Northwest Crossing

Apartment complex is constantly filthy. Trash everywhere and no one cleans after their pets. Glass in the parking lots. From people getting their cars broken into. The gates are either broken. Mold and ants through multiple apartments. Limited communication between the office and residents. Mailbox room has mail blatantly stolen and open. No lockers, just a closet with shelves.

I have lived here for almost a year now. We just had a change in the people who manage the property and the new management is quite honestly terrible. They changed their hours drastically and they do not answer their phone when you call. When I am finally able to constant them, they are rude and unattentively. For example, the package room was broken into while it was supposed to be locked. Many peoples packages were stolen of which I have photo evidence. I called to inform the office and they told me that I had to file a report with Houston PD on my own and that they could not do anything to assist me and their many residents. I informed them that they should inform people of the theft situation, to which they did not. We have also had an infestation issue thorughout the complex to which they refused to acknowledge, telling residents that this was not a problem with other apartments when it was indeed widespread. Residents did not realize this until we communicated with each other. Once we all got together, they finally issued an official statement on the issue. I have lived at many apartments, and this is by far the worst. Management does not care about people's individual wellbeing which is ridiculous. I have talked to serval other residents, and we all have had the same experience.

We are sorry to hear you did not have a good experience with our community. What you’ve described does not live up to the high standard at which we manage a community. We would like to speak to you further about your review. Please email us at info@vestacorp.com and we will have someone get in touch with you.
Vesta Corp has recently taken over the property management of the community, and it has gone downhill even more. I would have given 3 stars to the previous property management. They make excuses about the property looking a mess because "maintenance is busy." The last maintenance team handled everything timely and there were never problems like this. It sounds like they need to hire another team member or 5. Trash was left in pet and trash stations across the community for over a month, no lawn maintenance or mowing for over a month, vehicles have been left on blocks, and some even stolen completely from this "gated" complex. Break-ins during the day in my building as well. The pool is not properly cared for. The mail room was LOCKED last night and myself and 3 other people (within 5 minutes) attempted to get in (it is a 24-hour facility for residents). They have not called or emailed me back regarding this, or sent out any communication. They do not answer the phones in the office. Overall way too expensive for what the value is. I do not recommend.

This place is infested with worms that are coming from the plants and soil they have outside. They are all over the halls and sidewalks even inside my home. I’ve found multiple in the ceiling, the restroom, kitchen and living room. Nothing is being done to get ride if this issue.
Property Manager at 55 Fifty at Northwest Crossing, Responded To This Review
We’re sorry to hear about the issue you’re having with the worms on the property. Given the valuable contribution they provide to the planet’s ecosystem — providing nutrients to the soil and a food source for other animals — pest control companies will not treat them as a pest nor provide eradication efforts. This is seasonal issue that should subside within a few months. We appreciate your understanding. Thank you. — Katie F., Allora Northwest Crossing.
