So many extra monthly fees that were not disclosed. So many danger issues with neighbors that management did nothing about. So many safety concerns, way overpriced, small rooms. Also would not mail our security deposit back to us when we moved. We had to go to physically pick it up.

Renting here was a mess. There was so many plumbing issues happening in the building. Mangement knows what the issue is and wont fix the issue.

I scheduled a tour a week in advance and came in from out of town and when I showed up for my scheduled tour time they made me wait almost 30 minutes and then the leasing agent went out to lunch while I was waiting. The security guard told us they had no record of our reservation even though we showed him one. Nobody from the leasing office could come out and even speak to us. The security guard told us after waiting for 30 minutes that no walk ins appointments were available and we had to leave. Very unprofessional and rude staff.

Terrible place to live. If you are planning to move anywhere between the 10th and 12th floor - the sinks in your apartment will overflow with dirty water due to the way pipes bend. Management will address temporarily when there is an overflow but no real fix. They will eventually ghost you if you reach out multiple times. Until the day we moved out, our apartment had dried dirty water in kitchen cabinets with dead flies and insects. If you have kids and pets, its definitely inconvenient trying to find a place to stay in the middle of the night due to smell and toxins in your own apartment. 55 is cheaper than most places for certain reasons. Do yourself and your family a favor and do not move here.

Our apartment is a beautiful living space for my wife, son and myself. Anytime we leave for the day, we always look forward to coming home. The leasing office, front desk and maintenance are both friendly and professional. Amenities are great!

Every apartment complex/building has its issues but at the core of this one is a competent, attentive, concerned and genuinely effective leasing office and maintenance staff. This building has a team willing to tackle issues like they are their own, they really care.

If you are a women living alone, do not live here. There is frequent car breaks in, and the building is easily accessed by many people in downtown Orlando that are not residents. Units can often be found on Airbnb allowing non-residents access to building to throw parties.

Always answers any questions I need! The security makes everything feel safe! The fact that the staff remembers your face, and what room number you stay in makes you feel like your at home and recognized ! Area is nice! Im not used to being able to walk everywhere and I love that! Overall I love staying here !

I have lived in this bldg for 5 years. Love it and still as happy as first day there. More pros than cons. Location, location, location!

55 West is in the best location - right off of Orange Ave, so extremely close to the I-4 E and W bound exits, 408, as well as Colonial (SR 50), so any commute should be a breeze to get both to and from work! If you work at home, you may actually like the sound of the train passing by softly and light bustle of the area around the building. I find it soothing and easier to concentrate! I love the floor to ceiling windows, concrete ceilings, and well maintained exteriors!!! I moved in a few weeks ago and I've had a great time so far.

I love 55 W. My apartment is constantly being updated as my needs change. Carpet to hardwood. Appliances updated for newer models, timely and great maintenance teams. My retirement is made easy by the team at 55 W.

Moved in 2 months ago and this place has been amazing, everyone is super friendly and helpful, I can't wait for the weather to warm up to be able to use the pool.

55 West is a perfect location and a great environment. Improvements are important and underway, but the management and owners are moving quickly in the right direction.

My boyfriend and I love this community and the staff is wonderful. There's not much competition downtown that truly compare to the floorplans and views that 55 offers.

55 West is great! So far it is truly living up to luxury living standards. Hallways and elevators are clean. There is valet trash. Never a long wait for elevators. It's in a great location and the downtown noise is almost non existent from inside.

The staff in the Leasing office are the most helpful you could ask for, no matter what the issue. And building maintenance is amazing! Prompt service and they get the job done.

I will be renewing for my 5th year here. Overall, very satisfied. Love the location. The Lease agents are super nice, especially Soniali. Ive dealt with her a lot and shes very helpful and friendly.

I have lived at 55 West for several years and the building has gone downhill. The main problems are a lack of building upkeep.The ceiling tiles in the hallways are stained; the parking garage smells like dog urine; security is a complete joke; and as noted previously, after several car smashings in the secure garage, there are still pieces of glass all over. I am no longer proud to say I live at 55 West and I would not recommend that my friends should move in.

I’ve lived here for just about a year. I wasn’t able to look at the apartments in person before I moved here, so Khalila (leasing office) has been the best help when it came to choosing an apartment and later moving in, and she is still there for me whenever I have a question or concerns. The staff here has been great in my personal experience. But the residents can be messy in common areas, that’s just what happens when many people live in one building. The view is great (never lived above second floor before moving here), and once the construction noise calms down (ultimate I-4) the noise will be as you’d expect in any downtown area. However, freight trains at night can be very noisy. The apartment is modern, lots of natural light, it’s pricey, but location will drive prices up. I always wanted to have the ‘living downtown’ experience, and I don’t regret moving here.

My door needed to be fixed and maintenance came to fix it quickly! Happy with the service

The Leasing Office goes above to provide courteous service and the Maintenance service is amazing.

55 West is a great community and building to live in. The maintenance team is quick to respond to any issues, and the leasing office will be quick to return any calls with answers to any questions.

I love the leasing agents and front desk security here like they have been amazing. But I moved in a week ago and am already scared to go into the parking garage and HATE taking my dog to the dog park that is so highly praised about. Like it is honestly filthy most of the time because of residents who are lazy.

55 West is located in the heart of downtown which makes it easy to access the local restaurants and bars. The building is in decent condition. The pool area is great and has 2 grills. The gym is good except its missing a lot of dumbells. The lounge or clubhouse could definitely use a serious upgrade. The staff does their best to help out and provide information. But they are sometimes hard to reach, probably due to Covid-19. It sometimes seems they are understaffed. The building is a little noisy, especially when the train passes by. Overall Im happy living here and the price was competitive. 4/5

Great place for the location, space, and size!

The building and staff are nice, but the residents and guests are monsters and NOTHING is ever done to address it. There's routinely vandalism in our elevators, garbage strewn across our parking garage, entrances/exits that don't actually latch or close properly. Every day I find dog urine on the ground in the elevators and litter on the floor there. I've even told the management that if they supplied garbage cans at the elevator landings on each floor, that maybe people wouldn't resort to littering every where. The carpet that runs the entire length of the hallways outside my apartment are covered in urine stains. They recently repainted our hallways and did a TERRIBLE job. It's really embarrassing. I don't even bring guests to my home because this place is embarrassing.

Overall, I say my experience at 55 west is pretty good. The view is spectacular, the rooms are beautifully designed and renovated, the construction team/whoever responsible did a marvelous job. I'm happy to see the building is safe. I do like that the security team is prompt and 24/7 alert. I really enjoy the leasing team, they are very professional, Soniali knows her stuff around handling future tenants, move in, filling out all the necessary details, I was well informed by her throughout the application process. I also like the simplicity of getting your mail. That parcel machine is very modern and convenient. All of the amenities are a necessity, and I'm really happy that the building provides a variety of things to do for the tenants.

Several times I have witnessed residents allowing their dog to urinate in the elevator. When I called the front desk, they say no one is able to help. The elevator also gets stuck and often several of them do not work at the same time. The pool is not cleaned regularly and there are homeless people and non-residents wandering in the pool area. I have smelled marijuana coming from my neighbors unit several times and the management said there’s nothing they can do and to call the police instead. I think the worst thing about this place is you can never get a hold of anyone. They only respond to good reviews online. I have heard loud music coming from my other neighbors apartment for weeks now since the coronavirus started and I cannot concentrate on work. This is a very noisy and unclean place and I cannot wait until my lease is up in August.

I love 55 West! My husband and I are so happy here! The apartment is beautiful, and the rent is much more affordable than the rest of downtown.

I love being a resident at 55 West. The building is beautiful and the ease of walking downtown to your favorite bars and restaurants is amazing. The updated units are great and the hallways are always clean. My only complaint as of now is that If you love to entertain, be aware that your guests will have to pay to park.

Really quick and extremely helpful as they came in got their work done and left without taking too much time!

Honestly it is a please where I can feel at home. The other residents are very kind and so are the staff!

I do not mean to be difficult. I have been here over a month and have made several maintenance request since my first week here. I am dealing with issues from when I first moved in and I am feeling completely neglected

Ive never lived anywhere like this. They truly care about their residents and want to help as best they can. Great experience so far!!
