The maintenance staff (Germaine and Jose specifically) are amazing. I am thoroughly disappointed by the management in general though because they have raised our rent so much and I know it is not legal to be charging us way more than the exact same apartment (mirror image and next door). I addressed with them and they did nothing!!! Not amused at all!
The maintenance crew (Germaine and Jose) are amazing. I do feel that some of the practices of raising the rent indiscriminately have left a bit of a sour taste. We will likely not renew it f this continues, which to me is sad.
My wife and I have now been residents of 5550 Wilshire for seven years, and we continue to find it a really excellent property. All of the staff are very friendly and professional. The response to maintenance request is quick and effective. The property is kept very clean and up to date.
Management was not flexible in terms of showing me the apartment before moving in, would not even provide a video walk through. I just wanted to measure the rooms to buy furniture in advance of moving and that was not allowed. In addition to that, there were several things that were not done prior to moving in, for example the bathrooms were glazed the day after moving in, and I could not shower in the apartment for 3 days after moving in. The management team was also completely unaware of the windsor policy about 2 free rent days when transferring units within the same building or community and pressured us to complete the move all in one day. The oven was FILTHY and filled the entire apartment with smoke the first time we used it, our ceiling fan rattles non stop and every single faucet handle in both bathrooms leaks anytime the water is turned on, making it impossible to keep the sink's clean. I love our apartment and neighborhood, but the staff has proven to be subpar and the unit was absolutely NOT move in ready when we moved in.
My packages keep getting stolen. Not sure if my other residents but that the only conclusion. I email leasing office and never get responses.
We have been here for two months and so far the responsiveness from the maintenance and leasing team has been excellent. Their turn around time in addressing the issue is outstanding.
Building is well-constructed and well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I’m very happy with maintenance experience. They really care about their work and how happy I am. They are also very considerate I have a young baby who may take a nap while they are coming to do maintenance. They will knock the door instead ring the bell! After finishing the work order, they will clean up and put things back neatly.

Excellent place to live! Crystal and Caitlin are great managers and Jermaine and Jose are the best at any maintenance concerns, always going to extra mile to make sure everything is in good condition and working well.
Beautiful apartment but alot of hidden charges, after parking and Minol bills, the rent is about $250 more than what is on the lease.
After viewing a variety of buildings in the area, it was clear that 5550 Wilshire was the best. The staff gave a thorough and friendly tour, answered all questions, and were very helpful in all aspects of the leasing process. The building is very well maintained, both inside the apartments and all the amenity areas. The appliances are new, and everything looks and feels great. After moving in, the staff have all been very friendly and helpful, and they resolved my few minor issues promptly. Overall, I highly recommend this building.
5550 offers great square footage in apartment and quality amenities. Nice views of the city and proximity to many different forms of entertainment, food and drink make this location ideal even during the construction on Wilshire. My experience with the leasing team and maintenance has been welcoming, attentive and prompt.

Overall my experience here has been positive. The leasing office and maintenance staff have been friendly and helpful whenever I've had questions or experienced any issues with my apartment. My appliances are in good condition and I have had few issues with noise or pests.

Though I've only lived here for about 3 weeks, so far my overall experience has been very positive. Relative to other "Luxury" apartment complexes I've lived in across LA, the value I'm getting here is pretty good. For the square footage and overall state of my unit, I feel like I'm getting a decent deal. While I have noticed the lack of immediate freeway access when traveling around town, as someone who is still working remotely from home, this community is more or less exactly what I was looking for. It's been quiet and the other tenants I've met so far have been friendly. The amenities are maintained well and unlike at previous communities I've lived at, I find myself using them frequently. The building is also conveniently located near essential businesses (super markets, pharmacies, banks, etc.) and are all within walking distance. The folks in the leasing office (shout outs to Katrina and Kaitlyn) have been both courteous and patient throughout the application and move-in process. I'm someone that likes to ask a lot of questions and cover as many edge cases as possible before making a decision and they answered all of them as best they could without giving off the slightest trace of annoyance. They were also very accommodating with many of my requests which have proven to enhance my experience here. Maintenance has also been friendly and helpful in resolving the issues that popped up during move-in.
We are very happy to have found such an amazing place to live in the heart of Los Angeles. The management is excellent, and the complex is so well built. Weve already met many neighbors through the community holiday get together which was deliciously catered, and we look forward to being a part of this community.
My overall expectations have been met and exceeded. Living here has been a true refuge and joy.

I've enjoyed living here for the past year and a half. Primary reasons are the efficient management, the maintenance staff and the amenities. The building is safe and clean. Only drawback is the noisy streets, but this is Los Angeles.
Kaitlyn and her team were absolutely incredible and made our transition seamless! Prompt responses, eager to help, and friendly faces every time we popped into the leasing office. On top of that, our apartment is absolutely beautiful and all amenities appear new and well kept. We love it here!
From the moment I was interested in this apartment building Kaitlyn has taken care of me and made me feel welcome from our first call. Her follow ups and follow through allowed my move here to be very smooth. In addition, I had a few questions inside the apartment and Fernando came by and explained a few things to me and followed up one of the items that needed a little attention. Im very happy with my choice on where to live, this is the right place for me.

Management and maintenance is otherwise great, but we have had hot water issues since the day we moved in and no one has really made it a priority to fix this. Our showers and kitchen sink rarely get very hot and when they do, it does not last long. Would really appreciate someone seriously looking into this matter. Otherwise 5550 is a great place to live.
