Strewn along the banks of the Kennebec River in Central Maine, Waterville is a quaint small town brimming with historic charm and modern delights. Downtown Waterville is vibrant with an array of eclectic shops and diverse eateries in well-preserved historic buildings. The town’s popular farmers’ market, boasting local produce and handcrafted artisan goods, is also held downtown throughout the year.
Waterville is home to two institutions of higher education—Colby College and Thomas College. As a result, the town has a thriving cultural scene, with mainstays such as the Colby College Museum of Art, Waterville Opera House, Redington Museum, and Railroad Square Cinema.

Locals also enjoy congregating to engage in outdoor fun at Quarry Road Recreation Area and on the Kennebec River.

Property Ratings at 56 Silver St
I lived in one of the third floor units in this building. While I lived there I had multiple issues with bedbugs, including finding actual bugs in the apartment and developing skin rashes (either due to bugs or the anxiety of potentially having bedbugs). Plowing in the winter was atrocious because not every one in the parking lot would move their vehicle and if they didn't, the person who plowed wouldn't be able to clear the lot. The front door doesn't have a key coded lock like individual units do so anyone could walk in, even if they didn't live there. On more than occasion there was a homeless person camping out in the entryway because of the open door. The main office was quick to respond and always very nice but issues were rarely resolved. The dumpster out front was almost always full, and other tenants would leave furniture in front of it that would be left for months. I would rent from this property management group again, but never in this part of Waterville if I had a choice. Pros are that heat/hot water are included and proximity to local businesses and restaurants. Cons are basically everything else.
