And yes...we have a small little swimming area steps away from this house! Rent this entire 3 bedroom waterfront house on beautiful Narrow River...a saltwater inlet from Narragansett Bay! Swim, fish, kayak and canoe right from the front yard of this house! Small public playground at the top of this street for children. This "turn key" property gives you complete privacy and all the comforts of home in a 6 +1/2 room cozy cottage. House is well equipped with all you would need for a vacation! House is located on a quiet dead end and sits facing the river. Awesome views of the river from every window,“like living on a houseboat”! by car: 5 minutes from ocean (Narragansett Beach), Narragansett Towers and town of Wakefield 10 minutes from URI campus 15 minutes from Kingston Amtrak Station 20 minutes from historic Newport 30 minutes from Providence House is fully furnished… washer/dryer … working fireplace…fully functional kitchen…linens included...outside gas grill...outside hot/cold shower 3 bedrooms: queen, queen, bunk room (double on bottom ,single on top) plus a pull out coach (Counting the pull out and 3 in the bunk room, this house will sleep max 9) Cozy, Comfortable and Clean! Narrow River (or Pettaquamcutt River on maps) leads to ocean! Narrow River has become the #1 kayaking location in RI! Love to host quiet folks and families who enjoy nature and the abundant wildlife of this beautiful river! (geese, egret, swans etc.) and who would appreciate the privacy and peacefulness of this awesome vacation cottage! Guest will have access to everything in this cottage! Our kitchen is small but very well equipped with everything you should need, even down to the spices! A gas grill is also provided. All linens, towels, and extra blankets are provided. We get nice breezes on the river but we do provide small bedroom fans if ever needed and there are 3 ceiling fans in the house. Guests are welcome to use our kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and our 5 bikes. There is a small shed on the property that has kayak and canoe paddles, life jackets, etc. Shed also has a croquet set, horseshoes, etc. for yard games. Other things to note Many folks ask if the river is clean enough for swimming. The answer is yes! The bottom of the river is a a little muddy from being turned up by all the boat traffic but the river is clean enough for swimming even right in front of this house! We even have our own little (about 20 feet wide) beach in front of this house! Most of vacationers seem to prefer our beautiful ocean beach just 5 minutes away by car! Narragansett Pier ocean is one of the top beaches in the state and was voted top family beach in New England! There are fees for the beaches but we have tips and suggestions for our tenants.
