Property Ratings at 5Fifty Apartments
I lived there for 3 years (2020-2023). My first year was great. After the new management came in, things went downhill. They do not answer the phone or messages. They dismiss issues. They do not take ownership of the issues. Pool was closed for the longest time. They tries to bribe us with a BBQ party or something. I would tell them “Just do your _ job!” I DO NOT recommend.
I was there from 2020 - 2021. I initially applied as the units were "newly renovated." What I got was unfinished flooring and cabinets, crooked tile, and broken tracks and mirrors. Additionally, there are many stray cats and I woke up to a dead animal (bird, rat, etc.) on my doorstep every few months. Management kept saying they would help, then after a while snapped at me and told me they couldn't do anything. Specifically, "What do you want us to do? We can't do anything and everywhere has rats." When the new management took over I was hopeful. That didn't last long. They couldn't get the charges in order and somehow I was paying more when I questioned this, this they told me to read my lease. In preparation for my move out, I read over my lease to make sure I didn't miss anything. I emailed the complex four times across four weeks with some easy answer questions and never heard back. I finally had to go into the office to speak to someone. This conversation was rushed because I had just learned it was a half day for them. When I followed up to setup a walkthrough of move out, the community manager Ashley called me and said, "You're really stressing me out." Yep, an email a week stresses her out, so I can't imagine how she handles the rest of her duties. I explained that all I was trying to do was get an answer to my email, and follow the lease move-out procedures. She told me, "Just make sure the apartment is clean and slide the keys under the office door." This sounded wrong, but as my move out was on a Sunday, she told me accepting the keys from me any earlier was illegal and I'd have to pay for the extra day because they were closed. So I did what I was told. I documented everything. A month after moving out I'm being charged an exuberant amount of money for utilities even though I paid what I was supposed to (that Ashley told me) and they wouldn't respond to my inquiries. Finally connected with Lynetta in corporate and I can see the communication issues stem from the top. Long delays in response, not communicating fully, and even hung up on. It took until March to get this settled.
They have terrible customer service. Will never pick up the phone and if they do they put you hold until you hang up. If you manage to to stay on hold they’ll just hang up on you! And good luck reaching a person again!
As someone whos has gone from apt to apt, this definitely was the best in service. Ashley definitely helped me make sure i had everything i needed to move in and made sure my apt was ready when i moved in.
Upon the walk though of my “Newly Renovated” Apartment these are the things I found: • Baseboards of all the rooms scratched and poorly painted • Paint jobs done around appliances or areas that were unreachable • Living room floor torn • Kitchen cabinets painted over and scratched – Peeling paint • Kitchen Sink- Warped cabinet under the sink • No granite countertops – they are wood with “Granite like” color • Screen patio door torn • Bathroom- left very dirty, floors dirty o Construction material all over the counters o Mirrors dirty o Toilet dirt and seat broken o Bathtub piping needs caulking o Water leak from toilet o Water damage under the sink – warped cabinet o Painted around the washer and dryer – poorly done o Dryer not working I don’t understand how I had to wait a month and a half for this “new” apartment and the work done in the apartment looks like it was rushed and it looks sloppy! all these things were never fixed and the maintenance people are told to lie to the tenants.
This is a place accessible with every family's needs. The schools, both elementary and middle high are all walking distances. Even my children can go to day care, library and gymnastics school just across the street. How convenient is that for a mother of two children like me! And also if you want to go to park, grocery, church and clinics/hospital, you only need to drive for a 5-10mins and there you go! This place is so serene that if you only wanted to spend the whole day without travelling you can still have fun with your family by utilizing their private pool w/ hot tub, park area with BBQ grills, or play in their sports court. The staff has sense of urgency just in case you'll need a repair or some sort of maintenance.
