Property Ratings at 5Fifty5
This has been by far the worse apartment I have lived in. The build quality of the units is poor, the quality of property management is even worse. My AC went out for almost 2 weeks during the hottest time of the year (inside was over 90 degrees) and the property management refused to compensate any rent while I stayed at a near by hotel. The floors shake as you walk through the apartment (enough to rattle items on shelves), wasp nest surround the exterior and entry ways, even when working the AC is not properly sized to adequately cool the top floor, my refrigerator has broken down twice, homeless people are constantly walking through the complex digging through peoples trash, and the list goes on and on and on. I've been living in this complex for approximately 6 months and I can not wait for my lease to end. Terrible experience, I would not recommend anyone move into this apartment complex
First of all the reason we are interested in 5fifety5 is that it seems like a warm, slightly upscale area. Upon calling to set up a virtual tour I was greeted with a very snarky individual that had little to no information regarding the units. We agreed on a time that worked best for me the next day but it never took place. I called the office once again to see what the issue was and was informed that there were notes that my tour was supposed to be scheduled between 9-9:30 A.M. I was told by the agent it was scheduled for 10:00 A.M but was never put into action. I've been hearing the Hubbell name go downhill for awhile and after encountering such problems with organization and people skills I truly believe it. I rescheduled the tour for the same day and yet again they did not call. I was later informed via e-mail that the the virtual tours are not available at thise time *which is understandable* but the complete unorganzation of the matter is concerning and aggravating. Terrible experience led to us not going with anything Hubbell which sounds like we ultimately dodged a huge headache.
