Property Ratings at 600 Goodale
Live here for two years. In that time the pipes burst multiple times in the building, evacuating us repeatedly and forcing several residents to move out permanently as their units and items were destroyed. A leak in our water heater was reported and brushed off causing to flood under the floors causing MOLD and us to vacate for a week while it was all replaced. Fire alarm evacuations so regular we slept with clothes next to the bed for middle of the night evacuations (seriously- fire department visits are public check them). The garage flooded from the ROOF damaging my car, I had to replace the convertible top. So many more issues to even list. Additionally after moving out they sent me to collections over $200 without ever reaching out to me once to tell me I owed money or why. Totally audiations. Dogs ---- in the hallway, elevators are always broken, so are the trash chutes. smells gross, still water damage everywhere, pool is loud. stay away.

I've lived here for 3 months now, and I really enjoy it! It is pretty quiet despite being next to a busy road. I also don't really hear my next door neighbors. I can hear people romping around above me occasionally, but nothing terrible. The washing machine and dishwasher are a little dingy, but not a deal breaker. (However, this is my first apartment, so my standards may differ from yours.) And everything else is kept nice and the rooms are clean and fresh looking. I also feel safe here, which is saying a lot coming from a petite gal in her 20s. The other residents I have seen all look like they have their life together and I don't worry about anything being stolen. I once saw a really nice TV out in the hallway for like 2 days (I think someone was in the process of moving out) and no one bothered it. I haven't had any issues with management, and the maintenance people are timely and considerate. There is a bike path right next to the building which is great and it is a short drive to the downtown/Short north area. Maybe 5 mins.

Hi, we are so happy to read such a great review about 600 Goodale! Thank you, and have a fantastic day!
Building is filthy, hallways smell like weed and cigs when this building claims “smoke free” - live somewhere else, period.

It was the luckiest fluke I've ever had. I used Apartments.com to narrow in on 3 target buildings/area's around downtown Columbus. The first place was too hot an sold out, the 2nd i ended up canceling my application after a disgruntling call to their front desk where the service rep had a cold personality. The 3rd was just right. I filled out an application online for a unit i thought existed at the time and at the end of the process it told me to call the front desk. This is what occurred: Me: "Hi, I'm calling to finish my application" Service Rep: "What application? Who have you been talking to?" Me: "Your website? it said to call you after i was done filling out my application online?" Service Rep: "Hmm, let me see if i can find it and help you out..." I give them my name and info. "It looks like you filled out an application for a unit that no longer exists." Me: "Well there goes my application fee..." Service Rep: "Let me see if i can find anything coming up for turnover for you." I hear rapid typing in the background. "Ah ha, it looks like i have a unit opening up a little later than you asked for on you application, but with the current rate, it will be cheaper than what you applied for and is a bigger floor plan than what you were looking at." Me: After i close my mouth... "Wait, what?" Service Rep: "With the lease i can get you for this unit and because of the circumstances around it, i can get you a better deal and use your existing application towards it." Quick recap here, i filled out an application for a non-existing unit, went through an odd process online, was told to call a random number at the end, found a rep that not only pointed me in the right direction, but found me an even better deal than i thought possible. Oh yes. Me: "Yes please, do it now." I then transferred the application to the new unit, and did the deposit over the phone immediately. I lucked out in finding the perfect apartment in a brand new building in the central Columbus area right next to the Short North. The place is clean and very modern. The facilities and communal area's are well above anything in the area. The 2nd story courtyard area with pool/hot tub/patio grill is amazing to look out on, knowing your car is safe in the garage below. The price for the area is the best in Columbus. Always something going on in-house or close by. Local bars with live music, great markets for food, and festivals in local parks just add to it.
This place has the best location in Columbus - bike path connects to it- bars restaurants and an amazing pool . The staff are extremely kind and helpful. Overall I am very pleased with my decision to be here .
