It's very secured and the resident managers are very accommodating. I am still new here and do not really know the hows and the wheres but they are patient to me.

I am so impressed with everything about this community, most importantly the management and staff. They are kind, responsive, knowledgeable, helpful, hardworking, and committed to highest quality standards

I love the gym and parking garage. Amenities here are hard to beat. Upgrades to the gym (more machines) would be nice. The fire alarm system malfunctions frequently which is unfortunate. Beats the last place I was at though.

There have been a lot of pool issues recently as well as fire alarm going off. The office doesn’t reply to emails well but are only open during work time when I can’t come in due to having a job.

My move-in experience went fairly smoothly. I submitted a maintenance request and it was taken care of the same -day. My apartment was very clean and no has little to no major issues. The amenities are all in excellent condition as well.

Living in West End have been an amazing experience for us. Our children are all grown up so we decided to move to an apartment in the city. We are having lots of fun here!

The facilities are quite nice and comfortable. Staffs are friendly and responsive. The moving is quite smooth too with the large elevator located in parking deck. The down point is really the noise from the road at midnight. Since this apartment is located at the boarder of Durham downtown, there are occasionally reckless drivers driving with noisy vehicles in the midnight, which can be annoying sometimes.

The community is great! I highly recommend this complex for anyone who is looking for a nice apartment in downtown Durham. There are so many amazing amenities, and they are very upfront about the cost of things.

I just recently moved here but notice services are too slow in here compared to my previous apt community. Up until this point my request for maintenance to fix my kitchen sink/sewage and window screen is still not fixed even if I followed up and it has been 4 days.

I hvae seen alot of places here in Durham but I guess this would be the top place to stay. The cleanliness ,the parking, the community and ammenities are great. Amazing! Keep it up!

Truly blessed to have made the right decision to stay at 605 ?? The neighborhood is safe, quiet and is accessible to downtown Durham, bus stop, schools and church.

The apartment is clean and secure. Also, the staff are friendly and willing to assist. In addition, the room is spacious and well cleaned as well.

Move in was a little rocky. I was originally told the office would be open at 11am to get my keys to move in, they actually open at 1pm. Internet was not easily accessible as my email address was entered incorrectly to spectrum. My mailbox key wasn’t ready when I moved in and the coffee machine isn’t working. That being said the lady that gave me my keys was very nice and informative. She did assist me with resolving the issues I was experiencing.

Super Clean Quiet and unproblematic. Staff is also really nice and sweet. Maintenance has a good turn around on requests. The amenities are also amazing. it feels like living in a hotel how nice it is!

Great place to be except I am on the ground floor and when it rains the carpet gets wet and leaves a mildewy smell. Would be great if they can shampoo the rugs more often. Other than that, it is a great place to be.

I am going on 3 years living here and I can say that I have no complaints, I absolutely love it here and plus the location is very convenient for me.

The apartment building itself is nice but there’s several maintenance issues such as the fridge repeatedly not working, issues with noise in the summer time around the pool area, issues with car break ins despite there being a gate for residents though the gate was also always broken, and for a month packages weren’t able to be logged. Now they have switched to a mail delivery service that drops your packages to your front door which is awesome and maintenance is very receptive to any requested which is also great. There also haven’t been any safety issues since the summer time. I think for the price point you’re better off living in another part of town and getting more square footage per dollar though I can see the building is actively trying to make changes to make our experience living here more comfortable which I appreciate.

I love living here. It’s been less than a week, but it’s been nothing short of amazing. I have met so many friendly neighbors, thus far. Can’t wait to see what next year has in store for this community.

I've enjoyed the apartment complex so far. The staff is very dedicated and helpful. Everyone seems respectful and overall it has been a pleasant experience during my first couple of weeks here.

Appreciate the dryer vents and hallways being maintained. Nice quiet apartment. Personal experience has been good so far. Except foe the dust feom the airducts/vents in the apartment.

Great living space, community events, and vibes! I live in a 2 bedroom and we have a decent amount of space for a reasonable price. We also appreciate the fast responses of maintenance

Great amenities! I love the pool and gym, and the club room is great too. Could have better entry procedures for delivery services but overall okay.

Maintenance staff is so fast in completing all my requests. Even when I was locked out from my unit early in the AM, they’re just one call away!

Mostly quiet, calm busking with mostly mature and very nice people-tenants. The building rules really make sure that it stays calm and quiet- thanks to the building staff. Very accommodating staff- helped me take care of my bike over the summer. Very kind! Nice building structure and love the apt layout and water pressure. Very nice appliances, great gym, very nice pool area. Amazing bike rack and package room. Beautiful lobby space and other rooms to hang and study/read ???? Lastly- 1/2 block away from 2 bus lines (one directly to Duke). Far from supermarket on foot- but can take bus nearby and that’s not the buildings fault. Durham is not business heavy and supermarkets are few- CVS and Walgreens are scarce.

I love the apartment and the amenities that 605 West End has to offer. The studio apartment gives an NY-style living vibe. I love it here and so does my son.

I have lived here for over a year. Generally, things have been fine. However, myself and other residents have been feeling unsafe here lately due to recent car break-ins in the parking garage we pay to park in. There were 35 in just one night last week. The garage is filled with cars that have smashed in windows with glass in various places. Management did not inform residents that this happened, and have had no response to these incidents. The only action management has taken thus far has been installing a sign in the front of the garage stating to "park at your own risk" and that they hold no responsibility for property damages. I have to worry every night that my windows are going to be broken in the morning. This is unacceptable. Considering that there is an obvious imposing threat to our safety and property, management should be taking action to implement security measures to prevent future incidents. I'm very disappointed in the lack of care for resident safety.

Good: downtown walking distance, newer construction, decent pool and community room, nice maintenance staff. Bad: rude office manager, cold corporate vibes, no real community. Apartments not crazy small or anything, but closet space could be better and color scheme is gray and kinda depressing. Most of the building is in good shape, maintenance staff is good, so any issues usually get addressed quickly. A few disparate cockroach sightings, which I don’t love but it’s also a big building with lots of trash and humid weather, so just glad it’s not a regular problem. Office staff is total opposite of maintenance—rude and unprofessional. Manager is disrespectful to residents, treats us like annoying kids rather than adults paying to live here. Very corporate, impersonal energy. Okay spot to be for like 1-3 years to enjoy the nearby downtown, as long as you can handle the annual rent increases.

Love the atmosphere. Quiet most of the times. But, wish they would extend hours at the pool for everyone to enjoy since some people get home late, and would appreciate some extra time at the pool to relax and unwind. Would also be nice to have extra time to grill etc.

It's a nice place and the management is really nice. The monthly events are fun but the fees are often over the top. Mandatory $25 a month for trash, $85 a month for wifi and tv even if you don't use the TV. etc.

The fact that the community is gated adds an extra layer of security, making me feel incredibly safe and at ease. Overall, I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciate the wonderful living environment provided by this establishment.

The apartments are beautiful, not to mention the entire complex. The pool, gym and clubroom area are always maintained beautifully. The staff are always very pleasant and helpful. The neighbors are all nice and it's a quiet, friendly place to live that is close to everything!

Conveniently located to university and hospitals as well as downtown. Definitely in a gentrifying area. Lots of events and activities every month

As someone who just moved in everyone has been so nice and helpful. The building is great. There were a few problems with my apartment and they were promptly fixed. Overall, it has been a great experience so far.
