Property Ratings at 608 Kingsley St
Signed a lease with them since last August at the 408 W Vernon one. The internet isn't stable. The walls are thin so you will here EVERY SOUND from your roommate's room. They're no help if you need to sublease your apartment. I even offered to switch my lease to a more expensive unit because a potential sublet asked for it but the manager denied my request. Maintenance staffs are very nice and respectful though. Btw, DO NOT sign a consent for your roommate to have a pet if you're not 100% sure. They will not allow you to withdraw the consent.
I have been renting through Sami for 2 years year round. They have ALWAYS been attentive with any issues that I have had. At the office, there is always someone who is friendly and willing to help you to the best of their ability. I have never experienced bad customer service from them. Beyond this, Sami has helped me with every maintenance issue that I have had with little to no wait. The maintenance team are all really nice people and have always permanently fixed the problems that I have had. I have nothing bad to say about Sami. I think that you definitely get what you pay for and that they take care of their tenants. I will continue recommending Sami to any person who is looking to lease in the Bloomington-Normal area.
The apartment is very nice itself for a college apartment. My only complaints are that I can hear everything through the walls that my neighbors are doing and my specific apartment is a short walk from the parking lot. However, SAMI apartments is a terrible realtor. Originally, I signed a lease and paid my deposit on a different apartment only to be contacted two months later (after my deposit check was cashed) being told that I was "accidentally" leased someone else's apartment and had to go through the whole process again. The office is very disorganized and appointments are rarely kept/remembered. I gained access to my apartment in June and none of my work orders have been filled yet (it's currently late August). Additionally, the rent is extremely expensive for its location and quality. I recommend only renting from SAMI if absolutely needed.
I'm about to sign my third lease with SAMI. My experience has been great! The office staff is amazing. They answer any questions you have. Maintenance is prompt and always fixes the problem. I wouldn't rent from any other student apartment company.
Don't rent from any other place in town if you are a student. Other companies have hidden. Fees and show no respect to their tenants. SAMI actually answers your phone calls and emails and they have apartments for everyone not just for rich kids.
I moved into my apartment and SAMI has been great to rent with. This is my 2nd year renting with them. The apartment is just the right size for one person. Its a little further away from campus which is nice and peaceful. The staff at SAMI is wonderful and helpful at finding a place for me that fit my needs. Any time I need something fixed, the maintenance guys are always quick to get it done. I would recommend SAMI to anyone!
I have lived with SAMI for 3 years now at two different locations. First apartment was at 215 Vernon and my most current apartment at 711 Kingsley. Both apartments were great apartments. I loved having all utilities included in the rent. All my maintenence requests were completed in a 24 hour time period if not immedately. The offie staff at SAMI is great to work with and always answered my questions and seemed to care about their tenants. I highly recommend SAMI to anyone who attends Heartland Community college or ISU. Stop by their office and you will see the great experience I had with my first apartments while I was at ISU .
