Ideally we are looking to rent this home to a guest for at least 6+ months, but we can also rent it on a month to month basis. This recently renovated home is a hillside oasis in bustling Highland Park. The house is set back from the street and feels tucked away on its 8000 sq. ft. lot, filled with vegetation. Pick veggies & fruit from the garden, grill on the deck, snooze on the comfortable built in couch under the pergola, and watch sunsets from the garden perch. Parrots, hummingbirds, and peacocks visit here. You are walking distance to a grocery store, the Metro, parks, and many wonderful bars and restaurants on Figueroa Bl. Fully renovated four years ago, this Craftsman has a modern kitchen and bathrooms, an open floor plan with slate and hardwood floors, vaulted ceiling entry, living room and dining areas, front and back decks, and tons of natural light. This is California indoor / outdoor living that is perfect for entertaining or relaxing. The oversized front deck, adjacent to the main room of the house, has a grill, a built-in seating area (seats 10) and coffee table / propane fire pit situated beneath a pergola, and across from a raised vegetable and herb garden which is adorned with a custom mosaic. It's a great place for children to play with toys. A gate on the deck leads you to a garden perch beneath our tallest 100 year old tree, away from which winds a path down through the front yard garden. The back deck is accessible from the central hallway or through french doors from the master bedroom. The large, fully stocked kitchen has a 9 foot island and is open to the living room and dining areas. The main bathroom is spacious with a floating double vanity, a soak-in tub and separate glass shower with rain head. The other bathroom has a small glass shower as well. The master bedroom and guest bedroom are equipped with queen memory foam mattresses. The middle bedroom now has a twin bed, but there are also accommodations for young children available, such as a toddler bed, a pack and play, and a changing table. The long driveway leads up the hill & all the way to the back of the house & can easily accommodate 4 cars in tandem, however there is always parking on the street in front of the house which makes for an easier time leaving. Guests will have access to the entire property and all of its amenities, including a detached home office (approximately 150 sq ft) at the back of the property. The home office is equipped with air conditioning and heating, as well as a new pull out sofa where guests can sleep over, if desired.
