Also known as Overbrook Park, Overbook is filled with lush parks and tree-lined streets that sets it apart from the urban flair Philadelphia is known for. Haddington Woods and the Karakung Golf Course dominates the western portion of the neighborhood while Morris Park is located in the center of Overbook and is great for hiking. Overbook is also adjacent to Fairmount Park, Philly’s sprawling historic green space that is home to several museums, the Philadelphia Zoo, the iconic Rocky Steps, and more. Along with access to several parks, Overbrook is also home to Saint Joseph’s University. Rentals in Overbook are typically more affordable compared to other neighborhoods in the city, but there are upscale options available as well. The neighborhood boasts a variety of styles including charming rowhouses and renovated loft apartments. There are multiple rail stations in Overbrook so residents can easily travel into other neighborhoods and Center City, which is only seven miles away.

Property Ratings at 6300 City
Nice and clean place. Maintenance Anthony is super nice and friendly. BUT parking is an issue that has not been solved for the three years I’ve been living here. People who don’t live here keep parking in the parking lot. Management’s ability to problem solving is on the weaker side as they still don’t have a solution for this problem ... Good luck try to find a parking spot on the street during school year if you come back home a little late. Other than that. Nice apts.
I've been a resident for about 2 years now and its nothing like what I expect or how the property manager told me in the beginning. Dont let them trap you. Rent goes up like $20 every year and other properties in the area are way better hence I'm moving. If you've come across this building I'm telling you to keep looking; just around the corner I might add. Lets start with the PARKING LOT- its gravel and it damages your car I was told it would be paved and that's never happened plus there's BARELY ANY PARKING. There's no controlled access because most students live here and leave the doors propped open anyone has access. There's no bike storage. There's NO GYM. The laundry room is always disgusting and only has 4 washers & 4 dryers 60+ units. The elevator breaks all the time even now that they have fixed it YOU CAN'T use it to move in or out so you have to use stairs which is a pain. The property manager doesn't care about her residents and any email requests to her get ignored. Although the property is fairly new and the inside of the apartments are beautiful. You're in for a whirl wind of problems if you choose to live here. Living here is a nightmare now. The positive thing is maintenance issue get fixed right away.
I have been a resident at 6300 for about 4 months and my experience has been great so far. The building itself is brand new with modern looking apartments - they did a good job on the renovations. With the train station next door, the location has been convenient for my commute to work in Malvern. I can also easily take the train into the city. So far my experience has been great.
