So Much Light AND Fabulous Location!! This is a fully furnished SPRING semester sublet opportunity in the lovely Greenbush Neighborhood. Walk or bike to Edgewood College, UW campus, Madison College satellites, St. Mary's & Meriter Hospitals, downtown Madison, Vilas Zoo, Vilas Park, UW Arboretum, lakes, restaurants, bars, shopping, and so much more. Easy access to city bus lines. Our apartment is the entire first floor of a charming 4 unit brick property built in the 1930's. Walls of windows bring in so much light that the park outside feels like an extension of the living space. Even during a WI winter this location has so much to offer. Visitors describe our home as cozy and inviting. Our building neighbors are quiet and courteous professionals, so our unit is most appropriate for similarly minded folks. The Greenbush Neighborhood is filled with a friendly mix of established professionals, retired residents, and UW students. 2 Bedrooms: Bedroom #1 has a queen bed Bedroom #2 is used as a sanctuary/guest room with a new single day bed and trundle pullout 1 Bathroom with tub/shower combo. Building has coin operated laundry in the basement. Long term parking on Wingra Street is free. Neighboring streets have two-hour parking limits. The apartment will be FULLY furnished. The kitchen is cozy and is fully outfitted for nearly all your cooking needs. A Traeger Pellet Grill is yours to use on the back patio. Some furniture has changed since photos were taken but they have been upgrades. Sublet start and stop dates are negotiable as is personal storage needs. December through end of May is ideal. Heat, water, gas, electricity, WiFi and monthly cleaning service are included in the rent. Samsung SmartTV with Sonos sound bar and rear speakers plus an Apple TV are included in living room. A second Samsung smart TV is in the kitchen. Our established cleaning person will continue to clean apartment on a monthly basis. Cost is included in rent but arrangements to be made by tenant. Strict no pets, no smoking, and no candle policy. The apartment is not appropriate for children.

Historic Greenbush was established as a melting pot of different cultures. Because of urban renewal in the 1960s, much of the architecture that reflected the community’s heritage went away. However, traces of “The Bush” as many called it, remain today. One example of historic Greenbush is the Neighborhood House, a community center that provides local groups a space to meet up – just like it did over a century ago when it was founded.
When it comes to food, you can find everything from pizza parlors to international fare. Greenbush Bakery is a favorite within Madison, as it’s the only city bakery that serves kosher-certified doughnuts. Nightlife in Greenbush includes the Rockhound Brewing Company and the Rustic Tavern.
Dipping your toes in one of the many nearby beaches is sure to excite. But if that doesn’t sway you, the polar bears and tigers at Henry Vilas Zoo might.
