We are nestled in the heart of the Green Mountains of Central Vermont overlooking Norwich University, our nation's oldest private military college founded in 1819. The Crows Nest perched at elevation of 1500 feet high on Winch Hill on Shaw Mountain, has everything you need for your comfortable stay in Vermont. Spend any number of days and you are likely to see turkeys strutting or deer grazing in our field below. We have 66 acres of property for walking/hiking/snowshoeing; an ATV trail in summer and snowmobile trail in winter. During the spring through fall months we have an active vineyard of 300 vines of cold hardy grapes that depending on the season of your stay you are welcome to participate. We are designed for short term rental with all the amenities you might need. One Large room offers a Queen size bed, while the other smaller room has a full size. Spacious closets for hanging clothes or storing extras that you bring, or if you prefer put your clothes in a dresser. There is a washer and dryer as well. Sit back in the living area and enjoy something on the satellite television; Wi-Fi is included. The floor is radiant heat so every step you will have warm toes in the winter. In the summer it is the coolest place to be. We have a very friendly dog who will welcome you which is why we do NOT need any other pets at this time. Year lease, although may consider shorter lease (3 month); deposit and application with lease to follow.
