Boasting an eclectic local culture that combines the best elements of Midwestern personality and metropolitan sophistication, Minneapolis has built a solid reputation as one of the most interesting and exciting cities in the region, and indeed the entire nation. A vibrant urban center in the land of 10,000 lakes, Minneapolis enjoys well-earned attention for its stress-free atmosphere, great bicycling trails, and culturally diverse population. The city’s robust economy has deep roots, with numerous major companies having operated corporate headquarters in the city for decades (in some cases a century or more). In spite of being a major economic hub, the city is full of surprisingly affordable apartments, condos, and rental homes.
If you live in Downtown, getting around in winter is never a problem thanks to the skyway system.

Property Ratings at 700 on Washington - Historical Access
There were several days, after the apartment office is closed, that I needed to get into the apartment and they front door didn't work. So you couldn't enter your apartment building except through a driveway that is shared with commercial driving businesses. I found myself coming back from the gym and studying to a locked front door. It wasn't the key fob. It was the broken front door. The management both locally and at the cardinal group were made aware of this issue on multiple occasions and they didn't seem to care a whole lot. As in I repeatedly sent emails and talked with the staff and they didn't fix it immediately. This is a serious problem. Close to campus, but the management response to issue is very low. They have no problem cashing your rent check monthly though.
The staff seem nice, but that's just because the ones on the outside, the secretaries, are nice. The 700 is getting desperate for money, since a lot of people are leaving. They're doing their best to seemingly lower their prices long enough to trick people into signing leases, and once the cash cows can't escape, they milk them for all they're worth with hidden fees. Don't be fooled!!
Absolutely do not stay here. You'll have to go through the trouble of moving out again within a year. Do yourself a favor, and live somewhere else. Since the 700 is nearest to Sally’s Saloon, the air outside smells of smoke and beer. Drunk people wander around after dark, and some of them do get in, following the residents. They like the public sofas, and often sleep there till late morning. So far, I’ve seen 3 puddles of vomit, one of which was in the elevator, and remained in the elevator for half a day. Homeless people also like the 700, due to the free unlocked internet access. The management is a complete and utter mess, and they sometimes end up overlooking monthly payments, sending emails accusing residents of not paying rent.
