About This Home
Beautiful 1 Bedroom in Downtown Saco Historic District: Bright, 1st Story, 1 bedroom, 1 bath on 71 Middle Street, available March 1. Extremely close to everything (CIA cafe, Quiero Cafe, restaurants, shops, Post Office) yet not on a the main drag. Newly renovated with modern amenities (Nest thermostat, Fast internet, Wifi) and also classic, historic woodwork and charm. I'm pet-friendly. Shared washer/dryer. Good amount of storage space. No smoking in the apartment. $1800/month with first, last and 1month security deposit. Heat and electric are included (which is a big deal these days). The apartment is generally unfurnished - butcher block island in kitchen stays. Appliances stay. There’s a shared patio and fire pit with fire pit and grilling area in the back. Also a couple of raised beds for veggie gardening if you’re interested. Preference for pets is quieter, smaller, fewer, and less smelly. Preference is for start date on May 15 or close to it. Applicants are required to complete a rental application and authorize a $45 credit and background check. However, please don’t do so until we have spoken. Historically, this apartment has been easy to rent and I’d say that I will really only consider applicants who have credit scores above 680. I don’t want anyone to incur a fee until we are pretty sure it works. Thanks.

Just ten minutes away from Maine’s beautiful coastline, the city of Saco is a popular locale that’s surrounded by nature. The heart of Saco is imminently walkable, and it offers up attractive homes and retrofitted apartments that date back to the 18th and 19th century.
Saco receives a lot of praise from its residents for the locally-owned businesses that line Main Street. Traditions is a popular Italian spot just off the water that keeps locals and visitors coming back. The city’s school district also receives top marks, and coupled with kid-friendly attractions like Funtown Splashtown USA, Saco remains a fantastic spot to raise a family.
This New England town does provide some transit options. The Downeaster train will transport you to Portland and Boston, and there’s a local bus service to boot. I-95 and US 1 serve the area, making a daytrip to the coast or the popular Ferry Beach State Park on Saco’s coast a breeze.
