Hidden gem!

Whenever someone starts looking at NYC apartments, they come to expect a comically tiny space for an astronomically high price. Oftentimes that's a fair assumption to make! But for its price and location, this place is amazing-- wood floors, high ceilings, large rooms, and tons of closets. The super is nice and incredibly timely with repairs, and the building itself is clean and pest free so far as I can tell. It's also a block from the A train, and very close to shopping and a bunch of quiet neighborhood parks. And it's affordable! The only reason I'm giving it four stars because the views aren't great (though the upper floors do get good light!), the buildings a bit old (pre-war, so gorgeous molding and tile work), it's a bit of a commute to other parts of the city and a long ways to Brooklyn, and it's a walkup. But nevertheless I definitely recommend checking it out!
