About This Home
Meet Mildred, a charming historic home built in 1889, featuring four bedrooms and 3.5 baths. Each upstairs bedroom has its own full bath, including a master en-suite, making it perfect for families, grandparents, or business travelers. Mildred is a short walk to the Chattahoochee Riverwalk, restaurants, and shops, just 1.5 miles south of downtown Columbus. Enjoy dinner at the Black Cow or Minnie's nearby. This historic blue beauty boasts a fully fenced yard with original wrought iron fencing in front. The front gate opens to a short walkway up a small flight of stairs to the partial wraparound brick front porch. Inside, the foyer leads to the main living space, featuring a formal dining room with seating for eight and a living room with a 70" SmartTV and ample seating. The original center fireplace remains for decorative purposes only. The living room wraps around this fireplace, leading to a large dining area with a farmhouse-style dining table. Off the main living area is a chef's kitchen with a modern range and oven, and back door access to the back deck and fenced yard. The main floor bedroom has two full beds with a privacy curtain instead of a door. The master bedroom features a king-size bed and full en-suite bathroom with a tub and SmartTV. The third bedroom has a queen bed with a SmartTV, and the fourth bedroom has another queen bed, a twin bed, and a SmartTV. All bedrooms have dressers with plenty of storage. The home is pet-friendly with a non-refundable pet fee. Pets must be crated when left unattended and are not allowed on furniture or beds. All waste must be cleaned up from the yard. If there is evidence of pet hair on the furniture, excess hair in the home, stains, or waste found in the yard or home, you will be charged the cost to clean this. Two parking spots are available on-site. Located in the heart of uptown Columbus, this home is in a great location walkable to a variety of attractions and dining options. While many homes have been completely renovated and restored, several homes on the block are still awaiting loving owners to bring them back to their full potential. The home is about 1.5 miles south of downtown Columbus, 0.4 miles east of the Coca Cola Space Science Center, and 0.8 miles south of the Riverwalk. Guests will access the home with a digital keypad and have full and private access to the entire home and yard, with no shared spaces. Check-in is contact-free via a digital door code, and support is just a phone call away if needed. A pack 'n play/travel crib is available upon request. Guests must be 21 years of age to book. A signed rental agreement is required. If there is evidence of pet hair on the furniture, excess hair in the home, stains, or waste found in the yard or home, you will be charged the cost to clean this. Sitting on the banks of the Chattahoochee River, downtown Columbus is a terrific community with a variety of historic sites and a quiet, laid-back atmosphere. One must-visit is Heritage Corner, where five restored homes stand as symbols of Georgia's history. One of the most famous of these is the home of Dr. John Pemberton, the inventor of Coca-Cola.
The local population spends their time in the Uptown District, which features a friendly vibe. Columbus Business Improvement District Ambassadors take to the streets to offer information, guidance, and directions. The district includes trendy lofts and apartment complexes housed in historical buildings. The weekly Farmers Market is held from April through November, providing Columbus residents with fresh produce, baked goods, and a variety of handmade items.
