Property Ratings at 735 St. Clair Apartments
I moved here in June of 2022 and (regretfully) resigned my lease in March of 2023. Fairfield (who owns the property) is a disgusting corporation that buys up millions of properties and overcharges for rent (whats new). The water system that heats and cools the building exploded early 2023, leaving many units with tons of water damage (which i don't believe they will fix). The rooftop images that you see shown WERE part of the amenities the building had. Fairfield closed our rooftop lounge without any notice, and now we cannot access it. DONT MOVE HERE

As a resident of over a decade, I can say that at one point this apt building was great, it had good management, prices, communication, maintenance, and overall felt like a great community to live in. I am sad to say that after the recent change in owners and management, all of those things have gone downhill. Living here under the new company has caused us to rely on each other to try and force them to fix things, clean, and perform basic tasks. And with this has also come the slow and very planned out process of trying to get rid of any of the long-term tenants. The management has also now been raising rents for everyone just under the 10% mark to price out people without causing them to have to pay for moving costs. I must say this was, keyword WAS a good apt building at once, yet, since the recent changes have fallen to become a greedy and a truly bad place to live. Overall, I do not suggest moving here until, if they ever do, the management company gets their act together.
The new manager Majesta is super friendly and helpful. The initial managers who assisted me at my move in: Mallory and Michael were super. The building maintenance team has been right on it for the minor maintenance I needed.
Working and on the go and need a nest to sleep in these are perfect. The city is a great place to spend your day out and about. If your home is your nest I believe you will fit in to the cozy affordable and easy low stress atmosphere.

Building is doing upgrades that make my apartment noisy during business hours, but other than that, the building is in a great neighborhood, has the best views in the city, is dog friendly, and the staff is great. It is pricier than other apartments, but worth it.

The 735 st clair apartments are a wonderful place to live! They are centrally located to the trendy 23rd street but you can still walk downtown in minutes. The building itself is older and while apartments are being updated, I prefer the more vintage style units. But the roof is where it is at.... You can literally see all of portland and it's set up is very cozy! The staff is also amazing. However because the building is old there is a lot of work currently being done!on old pipes.But they have been very accommodating and are working to upgrade. Despite the downs the units are cozy and building is well cared for. Oh and super pet friendly!

This building has one of the best views in the city. The rooftop access is probably enough to justify living here. Just a 10 minute walk to downtown Portland, or stroll through NW 23rd. I should also mention the extremely friendly and professional staff and prompt maintenance crew.
