Property Ratings at 742 Park Avenue West
Since new management has taken over this building is nothing like it was before. You will not find garbage outside or anywhere in front of the building. The hallways are always nice and clean including the elevator. You will always see a cleaning person either moping or vacuuming. The units were nicely renovated and the management company is great! everyone seems to love living here.
DO NOT LIVE HERE! You can choose to live here if you like wasting money. One Wall Management is a cesspool as evidenced by all the negative reviews it gets. Any positive review is a fake. Believe me! 1. Unbelievably cheaply constructed. You will here every single things above, below and beside your unit. Better pray your neighbors above weigh 25 lbs because you’ll hear all their steps. Their phone vibrations, their toilet flushing, their babies crying. You will not have privacy. You better pray their kids don’t run around like my neighbors’ kids dids. You will never have a good night’s sleep. 2. Garbage is never picked up. Outside garbage is literally always overflowing with trash and rotten waste which invites pests and rodents. 3. Hallways always stink or rotten garbage because cleaners never come 4. Your packages will get stolen because there is no close mail room. I’ve gotten things stolen twice and was unable to get anything shipped to MY HOME anymore 5. $75 for an uncovered and un-gated lot which is obviously not worth it. 6. You cannot buzz anybody in from the main entrance EVERYONE uses. Horrible design logistics. 7. Tenants leave back door to building wide open for hours on end leaving your home susceptible to intrusion. 8. Cameras are there but are not operational. I came home to my apartment door WIDE open and property management didn’t do a thing. 9. Don’t not be fooled by the cheap finishes here. It will look like during a tour of you get one. Whoever shows the property to you will tell any lie necessary to get you to sign. You will want to move out after a few weeks, but will be trapped for a year in a home you can’t enjoy.
This is the worst decision I could have ever made. There couldn’t be a more deceiving deplorable place. The building is simply cheaply constructed. Whatever can break, will break. From cabinets, showers, door knobs, to the toilet. Don’t look to management for help because they will not respond if your even lucky enough to get them on the phone. I’ve had mice twice and ants once; mind you I live on the 3rd floor. There’s a sewage smell from time to time in the building. I’ve experienced brown water from my shower. Best think about this place is... yea there’s isn’t anything. The person that showed me this place I realize now has nothing to do with management. She basically sold me on lies.
It’s a really nice building...very beautiful I truly love it. Management is very Professional and the agent Mr.Al is very helpful and he willing to work with you. I had no problems! The hallsways is beautiful....It fells like your walking in classy hotel!. It’s a new building, it was built in 2017. For some people it may be to coslty and for other it’s affordable. It was affordable for me and my husband and we love it.
Crazy expensive for: -Horrible owners who never respond to you -delayed service requests -bugs throughout the place -cracked bathroom tiles -holes in the paper thin walls beneath the windows that don't lock -water heaters that allow you to take 25 min WARM showers TOPS (doesn't get hot longer than 7 mins) -ovens that burn your food if you have more than one thing cooking at a time -extremely sensitive smoke detectors -non gated parking where everyone makes U turns in your lot -$75 per assigned parking spot...if your spot is still open when you come home -W/D included.. but the dryer will burn anything cotton or polyester even on the lowest setting - no office so if you are on the 1st floor and have a floormat you will have PLENTY of people knocking on your door throughout the day asking for rental rates and phone numbers for people to contact. -You will have to pay a security deposit NO MATTER WHAT YOUR CREDIT IS but you will also have to pay them to run your credit rating... I will say though... the counter tops are REAL marble...I guess that's what counts.. Best advice I could've gotten? Turn away and run.
