Situated in northwestern Gary spanning south of the Grand Calumet River, Brunswick is a residential neighborhood just south of a large industrial area home to steel manufactures, railroad service companies, and the Gary/Chicago Airport. The western border of town is the Highway 12, 92, and 20 junction, making the 30-mile drive to Chicago and beyond accessible. The intersection is also the spot where many of the town’s restaurants and shops are located, but more stores and eateries are scattered throughout the area as well. Residents enjoy traveling a short distance north to the beaches along Lake Michigan or staying in town to enjoy the outdoors at Brunswick Park. The rest of Brunswick is made up of residential areas with several rental options along the outskirts of town.
